We have a jet pump on a 100 foot well that goes through veins of red rock and shale. We often experience red sediment in our water due to the red rock as it is high in iron. This is our go to secondary filter in a 2-step process. we use a pleated filter before this and find that it works best in this sort of setup rather than depending on it as a lone filter. Without a pleated filter, we would change these monthly and with pleated, can last up to 6 months for us in one bath home with 5 occupants. This heavy-duty whole house water filter provides your family with visibly clean, great-tasting water for drinking, cooking and more; Recommended for use with city and well water supplies. This is a really great product to have, it helps keep debris from clogging up any of your appliances and helps prolong the life of all of them also as long as it’s plumbed into your house as the first thing the water goes through. It also comes with new seals on each end to help keep from debris bypassing the filter. It’s nice if you have a clear housing to see if there is debris starting to clog your filter in case if there has been any work done on your plumbing sometimes your plumber or city plumbers can accidentally get debris in your pipes.

This Culligan universal water filter fits perfectly in my in line house filter housing. It is long overdue. The one stage filter is just the first line of defense against unwanted contaminants. There are also filters in the fridge and underneath the kitchen sink. The radial flow carbon replacement cartridge lasts about three months or ten thousand gallons. It reduces bacteria, sand, silt, rust, odors and more. Extending the life of appliances and water systems are important to save money on replacing them.

The whole house sediment filter made by Culligan adds another layer of cleaning to the water by reducing sediment in the water that comes on it to the house. This is the heavy-duty replacement cartridge made with radial flow medium granular carbon with 2.5 micron and a flow of 3 gpm. It is designed to reduces sediment, rust, scale, coarse and fine sand. Cleaner water improves the life of appliances, keeps faucets flowing smoothly. Helps improving the taste and reduces the odor in the water, meaning is safe for drinking. The filter life is only 3-months but depending on how clean or dirty the water arrives to the house might be necessary to replace it early. It’s universal fit and can be installed on any filter housing for filters about 10”x 5”.

[Rewarded Review] A GOOD PRE-FILTER FOR MY WHOLE SYSTEM

If you have a purification system hopefully you have a sediment filter. Even on city water, I was surprised how much the old filter weighed and was dis-colored. I have never tried a Culligan sediment filter. First, it is a 3-month/10,000gal radial flow granular carbon filter. It has a 25-micron rating for "Medium" sediment particulates. They also have a coarse and fine filter. It is rated for 3-Gpm water flow. If you are seeing this, you probably know that they are pretty simple to change. Since there is no way to know what the difference it will make compared to the existing filter I have to believe, since my other filter was a 6-month filter, that this filter must have a higher filtration rate. The main thing is to keep it changed on a schedule to protect the rest of the system.

[Rewarded Review] Amazing filter

I have had a Culligan whole house filter for about 6 months and love the way it purifies my water. I no longer have to buy individual bottled water and can see the clear results that these filters provide. Since they are a solid cartridge all I have to do is open my filter, remove the old and insert the new. It's that easy. No mess to deal with and since it is in my crawl space, it's easy to access and replace. I have attached pictures of the new and old filter and you can see what a great job it does. Because it captures the dirt and grime in the whole house filter, my faucets are much cleaner and do not require cleaning and replacement of the Aerator.
