Beautiful door but misadvertised the fit. I have a 43.25" opening and this product advertised 43"-48". The door itself was 43" plus the stationary panel. Would not have ordered had it been made clear. Revisited all advertising to see if I missed something. I didn't.

DIY’ers, not as easy

DIYers.. not as easy to install as it appears. The glass door by itself is 40” wide, & heavy. Side glass panel is 8” wide for your total 48” max fit. If your corners are not plume, then its tricky, have to fill trim piece with shim or caulk the heck out of it. Took 6 hrs to install. but we dont work fast. Looks nice once finished.

Very nice shower door

I've never installed a shower door before, but my husband and I got it done without much difficulty. The instructions are ok if you've done DIY projects. We chose to watch a how-to video which was very helpful and cleared up any questions we had about the written instructions. I think the hardest part of the install was getting the door properly adjusted, but even that really wasn't that tough to do. The safety stops on the door were missing from the box. I have a message into Kohler and am waiting for a response. All-in-all it's a good, solid door. I can't speak as to whether water escapes from under the door or not as we are in the process of building the house and haven't used the shower. There was a sweep for the bottom of the door included and was simple to install. Seeing how it sits in the frame, I don't believe water will escape.

This shower door was missing the railsframe when it was delivered. It only included the shower door, and the hardware box. Kind of hard to install a shower door without the framing.

Check the door for damage upon arrival.

Paid $99 to have the shower door shipped to the house. One corner of the box was missing so the door completely exposed. When our contractor opened the package the side panel pivot drive was severely damaged.

We love this door! It really complemented our update bathroom but also made it so much easier to get in and out of the shower. Like all Kohler products it is top notch and really makes are bathroom look luxurious.

[Rewarded Review] Custom look with reasonable install and cost

We really like the simple design of this door, the quality of the glass and metal finish. The clever design allows for flexible install options, right/left opening, and a custom look with a DIY install.

Broke within 3 months!

We had this door installed by an experienced carpenter, a quality job & it worked well, initially. After 3 months use, it began to stick near the top when pulling it open, & wobble slightly at the hinge. Eventually, the plastic connector at the top hinge snapped in half & the door came off in my hand. Thankfully my husband was home, & set the door so that it wouldn’t fall out, but it is now useless!

The door is perfect for our needs. Size fit, solid and heavy door and installation. Issue is that the door we received is missing one of the safety stops. This did not impact installation, but it is obvious to us. We would like that part to be able to complete the door. I have been unable to reach the Kohler number for parts.

Took forever, missing parts, not like picture

I was excited to find this door as it was perfect for our project. However the glass is a green shade - not at all like the picture. Lowes receives it from a 3rd party vendor so it was rescheduled for delivery multiple times as it wasn't received in Lowe's warehouse. The people at Lowe's were excellent in communicating and scheduling - this was not their fault. When the door was finally delivered, the box was torn open and in pretty bad shape. Fortunately the glass was fine however the smaller parts which were likely in a bag were missing. Rather than trying to return it, we are now trying to get the parts. This process has been going on for months. I DO NOT recommend ordering this door.

Leaky and Builds Up Sludge

I've installed and reinstalled this door 3 times trying to correct it's design flaws. Each time it leaks a lot of water at the bottom corners. Too many interior channels that collect water and funnel it out. The tracks collect soap and water which turns to sludge. Even if it didn't leak (wishful thinking), you would still need to completely uninstall it to clean it.

Excellent Shower Door Choice

For DIY's, note this door is VERY heavy. Once we got it upstairs the installation was relatively straight forward. I really like the way they pack the parts/accessories. It makes identifying all the parts easy and they stay packaged until you are ready to use them. The installation drawings could be a bit more detailed/concise, but watching the Kohler installation video helped. I also like the way they labeled the door to ensure the correct side is place in toward the shower area. The final door adjustments that needed to be completed to ensure a proper seal are also very easy (BUT you must ensure you have a second person to help hold the door once the hinge clamp is released!) This was the 48" model and the end result is a beautifully clear, semi-frameless shower door, easy to operate, has a self closing feature and NO leaks. We love this door

Terrible Design

Installed the door a year ago. Leaked profusely around the base and edges. Silicone got that to stop for a while, but the silicone gave way, so i'm uninstalling it. Not only does the door leak dramatically, it also has channels that fill with water & soap, eventually turning to grime and stink. I shouldn't have to uninstall the door once a year to clean it out. No I would not buy this door again, i will not be reinstalling it. One year later and i'm buying a new door.

The door glass is a bit thinner than I would...

The door glass is a bit thinner than I would have liked but thicker would have been heavier so it’s a trade-off. The sweep at the bottom is a flimsy thin piece of plastic that folds and bends as you open and close the door. You do get drips on the floor but only when you’re opening the door when it’s soaked from a shower. Overall it is a decent price for a decent product. Shame on Kohler for upcharging so much for the black option- we wanted it in black finish but an extra $400 was totally not worth it.

I rated the product good because it hasn't been unpacked and installed, yet. However, the delivery service delivered it in a torn, open-ended box, so I am concerned. When the delivery guy took it off the truck, I heard what I hope was the hardware hitting the bottom of the box. The one small-framed guy moving the shower door really struggled to drag it into the garage. So, I can only hope that the door survived the whole delivery trip. I hope to give a great update on the door when installed.

Beautiful Shower Door

This shower door is absolutely beautiful and the perfect finish to our new shower. It was a bit of work to install, but the instructions were clear and the parts were set on a cardboard backer pretty much in the order they were needed. The width is adjustable so it will fit a space not quite 48 inches. The glass is very heavy so it definitely takes more than one person to install but the results are worth it!

Just OK

The shower door is just a slab of glass on a hinge in front of a smaller slab of glass. 70 inch looks awkardly short in reap life and the door doesnt self-close as advertised in the description. It stays where it is when you open the door and there’s a cheap plastic flap at the bottom of the door that keeps water in the shower when the door is closed but scrapes against the threshold when the door is open. The flap definitly wont last long. Overall it’s just fine. The door closes and even short it looks nice, but too many little things that in aggregate keep it from being 4 or 5 stars

Beautiful door. Needs strong mounting point

This is a beautiful door. Instructions are excellent. The door is very heavy however (I have a 47" opening). I would highly recommend installing blocking behind where the Pivot Jamb mounts. The Pivot Jamb pretty much supports the entire weight of the door. I installed against cultured marble and did not install blocking. The plastic anchors provided did not hold and the jamb started to pull away. I replaced the plastic anchors with 3/16" Toggler (toggle) bolts and it is much more secure.

Door Exploded Into A Million Pieces Overnight!

No joke-a little past 3 AM last night my wife and I were startled awake by an extremely loud "pop" and the sound of glass breaking into a million little pieces. This shower door spontaneously exploded! Take a look at the picture! I recorded a video where you can still hear the glass crackling.

The biggest problem was how the manufacturers packed this glass door. It was completely out of the packing when I went to pick it up and that was the way it arrived !! I guess that says a lot for the glass as it wasn’t damaged. A few minor parts were missing but Koehler did send the replacement parts. Love the door and the price was about 1/3 of where the glass companies start their frameless glass shower doors. What a nice upgrade !!
