I had to replace defective air blower so had the front glass face off and had to remove old rock wool and ceramic logs. Saw that HD had replacement rock wool so ordered. Fairly easy to place. ** Important to read your fireplace operator’s manual as far as placing rock wool over - or surrounding - gas ports **. Did not know what to do with the vermiculite granules so I just scattered some on top of the rock wool pieces.
