We absolutely love our new rug!

Second time I have purchased this rug!

I love this rug and will definitely purchase again. It's perfect for my bedroom plus I have a similar one in my office. Considering the rug is white, it holds up well against my kids' muddy footprints and a rambunctious 6-month-old Golden Retriever puppy. Good quality and good value!

Solid Purchase

We love this rug. It looks great and feels great. We basically live on this rug - the entire family plus a dog. Because it's white, it will enviably change color overtime. Because of the price, it's just as easy to purchase the same one every three to four years vs having it cleaned. Its perfect way to have a white rug that gets lots and lots of love.

Overwhelming Chemical Smell

Extremely strong chemical off-gassing that gave me severe headaches. I can not keep it in the house. I've purchased 3 Safavieh rugs in the past and I loooovvveeee all of them. Of course they all had a mild factory smell that if but this one is different. Also, it is not plush! Feet just sink into the backing and you can even see the backing. Ridiculous. If you want that cushy, squish your toe in feeling this is not it - get the Milan. I do not know how this at 3" is less cushiony that their 2" Milan. It is long pieces of string and this will get matted in no time. At this price point not acceptable and will be returning.

Fluffy!!!

The quality of Safavieh is consistent. Love the volume of this rug. It's perfect for those that want a thick surface paired with the mat. Super for my room.

This was extremely POOR quality. It is so flat that it was laughable. I tried to fluff it up and it still looked like a very cheap rug. I know $* is not a ton of money but I expected better than that. Save your money -- do not be deceived by the picture on website. It is a very thin, very cheap looking rug. Will cost you $* to return.

Nice thick pile, very soft and seems to be nice quality. It is maybe a little pinker than I though it would be, but that is my own fault. It just looks very pink in the space, but I like it and will keep it. It is pup approved as well!

Gorgeous THICK Well-Made (just too white for me)

Gorgeous and well-made but the photo looked more off-white or ivory and it is stark white (like a sheet of paper) which doesn't go with my house or decor. It is thick and soft and so pretty. It is hard to buy rugs online for this very reason. I have other SAFAVIEH rugs in Ivory and they look like the photo of this in white--and there was no other color that matched "ivory" so I figured they were calling ivory "white" now. I would very much recommend if you are looking for a modern white rug. Also--this may just be me--but something about it seemed more appropriate for a bedroom than any other more public/common room. My other SAFAVIEH rugs are in family room and living room and they seem totally appropriate.

Nice rug. Has held up well in my daughters room despite lots of use from a child. An added bonus was the thickness. The only downfall is the carpet attachment on my vacuum doesn't like the shag carpet.

Soft, Plushy & Lovely

Love this rug it fits perfect under my coffee table and goes with my decorum. I got the white color and it looks great in my Living room. It looks like white fur on the floor very soft and it feels good under your feet. It's so pretty we took our family Christmas picture with it and it really completed the pictures. This also comes In different sizes and other Colors. I would recommend this rug to my family, friends and associates and the price was very reasonable. So if you want to make any room look amazing please order you this rug.

So I've had this for almost two years now, it has certainly held up to kids, dogs and cats! Just wish it was a bit easier to clean but I honestly don't know how they could even make it easier since it is such a thick shag rug! Otherwise, beautiful! Hasn't lost any shaggy stuff or anything. Still solid as the day I got it! Just hard to clean but I should have expected that lol.

Beautiful Quality Rugs

I love the quality and plushness of the Safavieh rugs. These were perfect! I ordered the white. They are white and feel great. I did not order the pad and they were slipping so some drawer liner I had left, I put under the rug and it took care of the sliding 2-1/2 ‘ x 6’ runners were the size. They haven’t shed at all. I have a Shorkie. He loves them too. I keep his paws wiped and don’t wear shoes in my house. No problem so far with any dirty edges. They haven’t matted, with daily use.(next to my bed) I would buy this brand and style again! Very quick delivery! Arrived earlier than expected!

Silver Shag Rug

Zero delays in shipping. I had to fight just to get it out of the packaging that it arrived in. Very secured and each end had a protective covering. As soon as I made the first cut to access my rug, the chemical smell greeted me. I took it out and placed on my patio shag part against the wall. I febreezed the back part just to help out. Smaller than expected, I wished it were tad bit bigger.

BOOOO - 2 Thumbs Down

Ugh, so super disappointed in this rug. I've bought the same Safavieh rugs over and over on Overstock. But I needed a slightly different size for a specific area, so figured I'd try this one. It's so cheap feeling and ridiculously shaggy. Feel like someone is going to literally trip on it! The color is more white than the other silver Safavieh rugs I've bought (which for reference is the SAFAVIEH California Shag Izat 2-inch Thick Area Rug, and they are the BOMB!!!! I have 7 of these all over my home and everyone asks me where I got it!). So really so sadly disappointed in this SAFAVIEH Polar Shag Bibi Glam Solid 3-inch Extra Thick Rug - 2 thumbs down - would not recommend! Tried posting pics but Overstock won't upload it...

A pure white shag rug

I have had this rug for a year now, and I am as thrilled with my purchase now, as the day it first arrived! In fact, so much so, I returned to purchase another one, only larger. It arrived and I don’t remember an oder that so many new rugs have. I placed the rug over new carpet, and it doesn’t budge! It is Snow White in color, plush, and washes very well with little shedding. I have to take it to the laundry mat to use the triple size washer. No stains in a year of use with grand babies that love to run their little toes and fingers through the rug as I read to them, and they play. This pure white rug brightens the room, makes it very cozy, adds eloquence to the room! Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this rug any higher for the quality, durability, and appearance, it’s worth every dime! Excited to be ordering another today, and thanks to the Overstock company, I could confirm this is the rug I purchased, so that I didn’t order a different brand in error, and end up disappointed. I appreciate honest reviews, and write honestly this review. As consumers, we need be fair and I believe I have submitted this review with integrity.

Thin nap

Although it's aesthetically pleasing, This rug isn't plush at all since it's a thinner nap so it has no real cushion under feet but the fibers are long just as described. I'll be buying a thick rug pad since My kids love it and It matches everything beautifully. The photo reflects it's true color which is light beige.

Not as it looks

This is a generous rating as it is as described: white and shag, I guess. But it does not look like most of the photos and is NOT 3" high. This one is noticeably machine cut, like a flat top haircut with no variation and is stark white, very machine made looking. If you want what this isn't, buy the Greek Flokati rug; it is long shag and wool. These Safavieh rugs look gorgeous in the photos but the quality isn't high. They say they are made in Turkey but on a couple of their listings it said Made in China.

UPDATED REVIEW. After owning several of these rugs in various large sizes for several months I have to take back my positive reviews. First let me say I did contact Safavieh directly on more than one occasion. First time I received no reply. Next I was blown off. Although beautiful I can’t find a vacuum that will clean them. I even purchased a meile that is specially designed for this type of carpet and it couldn’t clean it either. In fact I have purchased 5 vacuums since April. This has been a very expensive mistake. It’s not beautiful for very long if you can’t clean them. I was looking for a very thick, soft and high quality oversized shag rug for my bedroom. I also wanted the same rug in to smaller sizes for my bathroom and walk in closet. This rug has everything I wanted. I loved it so much that I bought it in green for another room in my home. Absolutely love these rugs.

Pretty turquoise rug

I have two of the Safavieh polar shag bibi glam rugs. I love them. They are very soft and plush. They aren't easy to clean. They need to be hand vacuumed. Blue-green is one of the most difficult colors to photograph and get an accurate color. For my photos, the close-up is not an accurate color representation because it looks a lot more gray and pale than it is in person. The photo showing most of the rug is pretty accurate. It's a turquoise that leans toward a girly blue. I would recommend putting earth tones around it to calm down the turquoise, unless it's going in a kids' room.
