Overwhelming Chemical Smell

Extremely strong chemical off-gassing that gave me severe headaches. I can not keep it in the house. I've purchased 3 Safavieh rugs in the past and I loooovvveeee all of them. Of course they all had a mild factory smell that if but this one is different. Also, it is not plush! Feet just sink into the backing and you can even see the backing. Ridiculous. If you want that cushy, squish your toe in feeling this is not it - get the Milan. I do not know how this at 3" is less cushiony that their 2" Milan. It is long pieces of string and this will get matted in no time. At this price point not acceptable and will be returning.

Soft, Plushy & Lovely

Love this rug it fits perfect under my coffee table and goes with my decorum. I got the white color and it looks great in my Living room. It looks like white fur on the floor very soft and it feels good under your feet. It's so pretty we took our family Christmas picture with it and it really completed the pictures. This also comes In different sizes and other Colors. I would recommend this rug to my family, friends and associates and the price was very reasonable. So if you want to make any room look amazing please order you this rug.

So I've had this for almost two years now, it has certainly held up to kids, dogs and cats! Just wish it was a bit easier to clean but I honestly don't know how they could even make it easier since it is such a thick shag rug! Otherwise, beautiful! Hasn't lost any shaggy stuff or anything. Still solid as the day I got it! Just hard to clean but I should have expected that lol.

Silver Shag Rug

Zero delays in shipping. I had to fight just to get it out of the packaging that it arrived in. Very secured and each end had a protective covering. As soon as I made the first cut to access my rug, the chemical smell greeted me. I took it out and placed on my patio shag part against the wall. I febreezed the back part just to help out. Smaller than expected, I wished it were tad bit bigger.

Not as it looks

This is a generous rating as it is as described: white and shag, I guess. But it does not look like most of the photos and is NOT 3" high. This one is noticeably machine cut, like a flat top haircut with no variation and is stark white, very machine made looking. If you want what this isn't, buy the Greek Flokati rug; it is long shag and wool. These Safavieh rugs look gorgeous in the photos but the quality isn't high. They say they are made in Turkey but on a couple of their listings it said Made in China.

Overstock has great products! This rug-not so much

I have been very happy with Overstock products -- nearly all of them. However, this Safavieh Polar Shag Bibi Glam Solid 3-inch rug...? It is not a very well made product. Disappointing for us and I should have gone with my initial instinct to return it. The rug's pile is loose. The facing below the pile is black (and the pile is white). After 3 months? We've already gotten rid of the rug. It looked 3 years old at 3 months. Did not wear well.

So different and not the norm. COOL!

Really cool if this is the look your going for. I actually put 2 together and made one big grate room rug. I bought a new leaf rake that I use exclusively for this rug (old school like my mother use to use on her tall shag carpet). Vacuumed nicely with the beater bar turned off on m sweeper. So far very happy with the wearability of this rug. Have not had it cleaned so not sure what will be the outcome if I do clean it. My grandkids come over and want to snuggle into this rug. You will diffidently need a rug pad to put under it.

I LOVE this rug. So I did get the pink one which my husband wasn't really happy about but it is for our guest room anyway. I am including a photo but please excuse we are still working on this room. It is so soft and fluffy. I was a little worried about the shag getting caught in the wheels of the trundle bed but so far so good. While we were assembling the bed I did lose some nuts and bolts in the fluff. My friend had to help me feel around to find them all. It really is very fluffy. There is still a little bit of a lingering chemical scent. It is winter in Michigan so I can't really open the windows to air it out more. But it is faint now and I hope it will just go away.

Nice for the Price but Questionable Quality.

I ordered the Silver version of this rug in 6'7" square size. It was delivered sooner than expected and packaged nicely. I love the color, it's what I expected and really ties the room together. The shag is deep, as described about the 3"! The shag is not dense and I find myself "fluffing" it often. It's very light weight for the size, and I find shaking it out is the best method for refreshing it. Highly recommend a non slip pad. As others described, it has a strong "new rug" smell I hope subsides quickly. I am concerned about the bonding on the edge of the rug as it is sloppily sewn and uneven. That is disappointing. I hope it doesn't fall apart. It's because of this flaw I gave it a 3 rating. Not a bad price!

Color not even close

This was my first overstock purchase. I got two rugs, one was beautiful and looked just like the photo, the other was this rug. I couldn't be more disappointed. The color on the website is totally off. The 'mushroom' color shows a deep, dark brown and what arrived was a dark silver. The rug is flat and not at all plush to walk over. The piling is messy and not clean like the photos. In other words, it's a POS. This 3x5 rug for $** was a rip off. And to make it worse, overstock wants to charge me $** to send it back. This was the first and last time I'll ever be ordering from this company.
