Difficult to install. Holes don’t line up and hardly enough room for your hand to get in to start bolts. Ended up cross threading one bolt. Need to either slot the holes or give more room to get a socket wrench in there.

Capacity are wrong

While this thing is huge and can hold a lot, it cannot hold what it says unless they are using some small butts! We can fit half of what it claims. On the initial burn off the heat deflector cracked and it has a very slow grease leak in one side. We have to put something under it with every cook. I honestly regret spending the money on this smoker and would have preferred sticking with the brand of my smaller smoker. Yes for what I paid I expected to get something in perfect working condition that holds what it says.

LOVE IT!!

I received my BFG a couple of weeks ago and finally got the chance to do a proper cook on it this past weekend. I did a brisket flat, chuck roast, and some green beans. While They both turned out great and the family loved them. What surprised me was how well this thing holds a pretty consistent temperature with minimal temp swings (way better than my previous two pellet grills from another brand). However, it wasn't without issues.

This thing is a BEAST! Everything about this pellet smoker is built like a tank. I’ve had it a few weeks and I’ve done several cooks on it. I couldn’t be happier with the ease of use, the build quality and the value for what you get versus the cost. Very happy with the purchase and I wouldn’t even consider another brand after seeing the quality of this unit.

Recteq is the Best

Recteq is the Best- Cooked ribs on my old 700 this Labor Day and it is still working great after 6 years- Got the BFG because it is just one impressive machine and will have a special place at the Lake House I am currently building. I have been to Recteq Academy and highly recommend it. I have never had any service issues (and my 700 is exposed to all the elements) but know that everyone at Recteq is anxious to help if you ever have any problems or needs. I have been grilling for 60 years and these grills make it a true pleasure. You can focus on the food and not worrying about the temperature because the grill takes care of that.

Not as happy with the

Not as happy with the 2500 as I was with the 1250. Quality is lacking in the 2500.

A product is only as good as their customer service

Horrible customer service from both the phone representatives and the online messaging feature. I've spent a week trying to get answers on a $2000 grill before I purchase. Each representative I dealt with either one, didn't read my message in it's entirely (it was written very clearly) or, my experience on the phone, the representative was annoyed and condescending. I hate to avoid a company but with a warranty claim, I don't want to deal with this same customer service I experienced.

Amazing smoker. This is my second smoker from Recteq. Sold the first one and upgraded to the BFG. I love it!

I own two recteqs

I've had a 1250 for quite some time runs flawlessly The BFG 2500 is kind of been a disappointment customer service has been great trying to help me deal with temperature swing issues going to have to wait to deal with the rest of the issues until I have my big events over with and use my meadow Creek TS 250 to get by I'm sure me and recteq we'll figure this out every interaction I've had with them has been professional and thorough they definitely stand behind their products

A little much for assembly but an amazing smoker. Would order again anytime.

The grill is amazing. I just wish I was able to taste the smoke. This my first time ever using a pellet smoker and I love it.

Awesome Grill!!!

I've wanted a Recteq grill for over three years now. I watched videos and I did my research. Then I decided to pull the trigger and purchase one. I purchased the RT-2500...this thing is a "BEAST!" 560lbs of pure muscle! ( steel muscle). This grill is so well put together. The quality is second to none! Most of the components are made of high quality steel. The grill crates are so heavy you almost need two people to carry them. This just speaks to the quality of this grill. Money well spent!!!

So far I have only seasoned the grill and cook 2 racks of beef ribs. So the grill is working flawless and holding a really good temp. I have a wedding to cook for in a month so we will what it can really do.
