I just had my chandelier installed. It is a very attractive chandelier, but it is smaller than I expected. The 19 inch width includes the shades. My biggest complaint is that the shades are too short. I bought the recommended lightbulbs and can see about a quarter of an inch of lightbulb above the shade. For a light over $200 that is awful. I have to buy larger shades so I don't see the bulbs. This is a real design flaw.
This is a perfect small fixture. I had my electrician hang it and it is perfect over my kitchen table.it is well made and requires very little assembly

This fixture is just as elegant and well made in actuality as it appears online. I was surprised when the box arrived, as it seemed really small, but the chandelier was put together so cleverly that it didn't take a lot of space - which also meant it didn't have an overwhelming amount of packing material to get rid of (almost no Styrofoam, which is impossible to recycle near me). Although I've installed quite a few light fixtures over the years, I always read through directions carefully and these were very well done - someone with little to no experience should be able to install this if they follow the directions/diagrams provided. I didn't have any issues with screws/holes not matching up and there was plenty of wiring/chain provided. Something I've never seen included with a chandelier before were the "chain connectors". These let you modify the chain length without scratching the connecting links. Brilliant! My dining room is approximately 10' x 10'. I don't know if I would use this fixture in a larger room, but I could also see using it over a kitchen table, if the space wasn't too small.
