Assembly was not difficult. A drill with an Allen wrench adapter makes the job much easier.

This bed had only been set up for 3 days after its initial delivery. The second use out of it it broke. There is no support towards the head of the bed. It is held by small screws and a bracket. It looks nice and packs away nice but for any price, let alone over a thousand dollars, it should not break from someone sleeping on it. The action it is attended for.

Pleasantly surprised

I have been looking for a Queen Murphy bed for a while and even after I finally ordered this one in the toffee and I was still nervous about it. A few pieces had a small ding or a scratch but nothing bad. Two screw holes were slightly misaligned and there were no pilot holes where the instructions said there would be. It isn't perfectly aligned because of the hinges. It took two people two hours to put together. It's heavy and comes in a few boxes that are heavy to carry alone. Having said all of that, I really like this piece of furniture. It looks very nice and I'm glad I purchased it. I can't speak to durability, because we just got it, but I plan to be pretty careful when using it and make sure I'm the only one that deals with it to try to mitigate damage

Nicely made and looks great in my spare bedroom. This was a little tricky to put together especiall the back panel. There were a couple of dowels that were broken in transit, luckily I had some from other furniture that were left over. Very easy to set up the bed even by one person.All and all this is a very nice Murphy bed.

Broke right away

I bought this for my mom to sleep on when she visits. She weighs about 120lbs. After the first night of use I noticed a crack in part of the bed frame. On the 3rd night the crack expanded and a chunk of wood fell off once of the frame junctions, then the other side broke in the exact same spot. So disappointed.

I am so happy I found this bed, it looks amazing in my space. It is almost entirely solid wood unlike most, and incredibly easy to open on close in less than a minutes time. It was packaged very well, having no defects. Assembly took 10 minutes as its only a few pieces. The mattress is surprisingly comfortable. This is an amazing option for a guest room/office!

Stylish and functional!

Works well as a piece of furniture in the office and a bed when we have excess visitors! The bed is comfy and the charger is convenient.

Came damaged and NOT from transport! Someone deliberately covered their mess and sent out defective product. Took forever and ended up sending it back !!!

Great instructions was not very difficult to put together. It’s a great addition.

It is a beautiful piece of furniture but not sturdy. The first day we had it my Son sat on one of the hinges putting the sheet on and the screws pulled out and stripped the holes. We had to figure a fix. The he went to fold it up and the wood is cracked. I am contacting the Manufacturer for a solution.

Lack of Manfuacturer Customer Service

Bought this, not bad. 3 parts were broken, hardware was missing. It was obviously repackaged, but I had company coming so I put the bed together. I fixed 3 panels, stopped get hardwaretwice, painted 1 piece. The AFIFurnishings rep offered replacement parts, but the product is not built for that. I tried to be resonable but the manufacturere would not negotiate. HOME DEPOT made an adjustment THANK YOU! Do not recommend, manufcturer does not stand behind their own product.

Great purchase

Very nice quality and the mattress is pretty comfortable for a pull out mattress. Looks nice in the room.

I was immediately drawn to the style of the cabinet because it was going to be used in an area between the living room and dining room. Our townhouse at the beach has an open floor plan and is small. This cabinet blends well with the living room furniture, with the bar height table and the kitchen countertop height. It looks like a piece of furniture that can be used in those two places with the false drawer front style, unlike most others that are made to blend within a bedroom. This is so much better than the cot that we have been using for years; the thickness of the foam mattress is a definite upgrade, comfortable & is easy to fold back into the cabinet. The cabinet top, sides & front are good quality. Though heavy when it was delivered, the boxes were easy to open & it didn't take too long to assemble: no problems! We sometimes will set our appetizers on the top when playing games/eating, so for me, the other style with lower storage drawers would have been too tall to serve as a multifunctional piece.

Arrived Broken

Overall i do like this piece, it is pretty large and looks great once set up. However very cheaply made product. Think of worse ikea furniture. Box arrived damaged with every piece having some type of flaw but customer service was good and made it right by sending new replacement. Some pieces also arrived broken the second time around but had the parts to fix it because of the first broken box.

Beautiful piece of furniture

This was easier to put together than I thought. I did it by myself, but it would have been much easier with a partner. The only real difficulty was attaching the bed frame to the cabinet. It’s impossible to hold it up while you’re trying to screw in the hinges. I ended up taking the rolled up mattress in its original packaging and sliding it underneath while I screwed it in. Overall, a solid piece of furniture (real wood). The mattress could be a little more comfortable, but it’s not too bad.

Excellent Product - Minimal Issues

Excellent replacement for our guest room trundle bed. Gives us a queen size for less space than the two twins we had. The finish is attractive, the wood is solid - no Ikea wood - and the mattress is comfortable. Toal assembly time was about 1 hour. The bed arrives in several heavy boxes. I pulled parts out and carried them them upstairs a few at a time. The instructions are relatively clear with one exception: Step 2 - attach the sides to the base, but be careful to match up the grooves for the next step. Otherwise, like me, you will have to unscrew the sides and move each to the other end. No other assembly issues. Like all assembly furniture, more tools than what is suggested will be needed. A philips head screwdriver is the one recommended tool. I needed to drill two longer holes in the base where two self-threading screws had jiggled out. I needed to re-drill the holes for the long screw/bolts. The holes had filled with debris or drilled wood that had not been removed. The plastic covers for the leg bolts are buggers to remove by had - needed pliers. Reglued a wood dowel that fell out when I removed and repositioned the sides. None of the above detracts from my rating. Free shipping and a discount that beat **** were more than enough to offset some Elmer's Glue. Would buy it again and will-have recommended this piece to others.
