Liked my halogen version better, but LED energy savings won out

First, let me say, I do not enjoy LED lighting. I’m old school incandescent fan. This was energy cutting move. But, this style fixture matched exactly the halogen fixture before it that had bit the dust after 20 years. One of the nice features of this style is that it spreads light to the far corners to really light things up when needed, which roommate needs. I added a LED compatible dimmer so I can use that whenever they step out of the room. I like that the shade is glass, not acrylic or plastic.

Like the looks but I tried to remove the glass to see how difficult it was to change a bulb. It’s not easy the spring clip is way too tight. Not sure if I’m keeping it. Electrician has not come to install yet.

These lights are nice, I replaced two fixtures in my kitchen with these. I like the look of these, the color of the light I like, they are a nice enhancement.

Nice small Light

This a nice inexpensive light for my that does not take up much space beneath my kitchen cabinet.

Ceiling replacement light

I bought 2, one for the hallway and one for bedroom. I have not installed yet. Going to paint first. I have similar style in the stairway. Simple lines and pretty. Arrived quickly and in good condition. And light bulbs were included.

Good value

The only challenge for me was figuring out how to affix the glass to the fixture. A one-sentence instruction somewhere would have been useful.

Excellent for the price. Clip on shade was a big selling point as well as the glass shade. Easy to install and perfect for LED bulbs with non-dimmable switch. I like that they come in different sizes and I bought six that allowed me to achieve some uniformity in a studio apartment that uses overhead lighting. The minimal design works with an 8 ft ceiling and are unobtrusive when off, when lamps are used for mood lighting.

Upgrade to LED fixtures

The fixture was purchased to facilitate an upgrade in a bathroom located in a detached garage. New fixtures were added, for improvements and the floor was refinished as well. The existing lighting had been an old style incandescent fixture which was neither attractive nor bright enough to meet the needs. The picture of the new fixture does not do the fixture justice. The design profile gives the right appearance and the modern nature of the design would not be out of place anywhere. The shape of the glass is such that the projection from the ceiling is pleasing, and the brushed nickel clips add just the right amount of glitz. The LEDs really put out the light and overall ease of installation is a bonus for the home installer. The only negative was being certain that what was ordered was the LED version as there is an incandescent design that is similar in appearance in the online listing. I had to spend some extra time making certain that I was ordering the LED model and don't recall ever being certain that I had the right model when I placed the order, but made my selection based on the one with the higher price and a guess that the LEDs would add to the overall cost. Looking at other LED lighting in more than one store I found fixtures that I might have purchased were double the price of the unit that I ended up buying online.

Bright light while they work, but possibly dangero

Very bright and easy to install, however of the 2 light fixtures i purchased, one went out after 3 months and the other after 6. It shows signs of overheating around the soldered connections. This may make it a fire hazard.

Bad design or defective item

I have installed multiple ceiling fixtures of that kind and never had a problem like with this one. It was either defective of wrongly designed. It requires one of the clips that hold the glass plate to be flexible so the plate can be installed and removed. Unfortunately, none of the clips move. They are also plastic and after applying a bit of pressure, one of them broke. I ended up buying a new fixture from a different place.

Well worth the price, beautiful lights!

Very nice light for $25! I did alot of shopping online on price and selection and I kept coming back to this one. I bought 3, easy to install for this 55 year old female! Just make sure to shut off the breaker when installing and you are good to go! I like them so well that I am going to buy 2 more for 2 other rooms. The ones I bought were installed in living room, hallway, and dining area downstairs.
