I expected more brightness since it is led based. For the small utility room that I'm lighting it is OK and was definitely better than the 20 W fluorescent lamp that was previously there.

Very pleasant soft warm light. More attractive than the 2-bulb circleline fluorescent light that it replaced but not as bright (2500 vs 3800 lumens with fresh bulbs) and warmer in color. Tricky to install since the access holes for the screwdriver don't line up with the mounting screws, at least not on the vintage junction box in my kitchen ceiling.

Terrible; mine was defective. Two small openings to attach screws through but for a standard 3.5 inch ceiling box, you can't access both screws to tighten them. The plate the LED attaches has a swiss cheese of other holes where you can turn the LED to other positions, but they are all wrong. It seems like they drilled the plate wrong, if the holes had been a little offset it would have worked. Even if they had put the holes in the right place, I'm not impressed with this mounting system. Even if you could tighten both screws, a simple twist and the light would pop off.

We replaced similar sized fluorescent light fixtures in the kitchen with these 19 inch LEDs and added a dimmer switch to soften the more than adequate light when full brightness isn't needed. Installation is easy. I appreciate the sturdy metal base and the easy to remove diffuser lens for cleaning. LED lights switch on instantly and unlike fluorescent lights, do not get dimmer over time and do not contain mercury. After 2 months of use I am very pleased with this product.

I returned this item to the store. I had it shipped and the plastic dome was cracked when it arrived. HD called the manufacturer for me to get a replacement dome. Installation was interesting. The back of the fixture attached to the round ceiling gang box fine and it had magnets to attach the main circuit board with its LEDs to the back of the fixture. When I finally tried it out, it was not bright enough for my 13'x15' basement room with dark brown wood paneling on the walls and ceiling. ;-) I generally like warm LED light and this was definitely warm in color, but it just didn't seem right for the room. It also felt a bit warm to touch after it had been on a while.
