Great product!! Good value!

I love this dog trailer! It was easy to put together. We followed the instructions and put in our dogs small blanket and hooked her up and put in treats. Then I walked her slowly around so she could easily see me and get used to it. Then we hooked it to the bike and rode slowly. She liked it!!

New ride for our Border Collie

I purchased a Rascal to allow mw to take my border collie to different area's with out having to take my car. I recently purchased a E-bike and my distance is exceeding my dogs ability. The Rascal is a great solution. Having a back and front opening is very helpful. Rides level and sturdy for my 35 lb. dog.

Quality Trailer

I received my trailer in a very timely manner. It was easy to set up. The quality is very good. My dog enjoys riding in it and will sometimes actually jump in the back end of it when I’m just trying to take her for a walk. I have to say sometimes she’s actually kind of lazy. I like the flag to help people see us better, I have placed a small rubber band to help make sure that the flag does not fall off.

Maybe if your dog is 40lbs...

Good product, nicely built, easy to assemble. I doubt a 50lb dog would fit. My 60lb dog does not fit... but I bought the trailer to haul groceries, so that's okay.

Easy to assemble and works well.

Arrived mostly assembled but in collapsed form. Was easy to unfold. Subtracted one star for two reasons: (1) It's heavy. (2) The piece that connects to your bike has divot where your bike nut should screw on to secut the piece to your bike. The divot was too narrow for my bike so I had to get creative. The manufacturer should have just made that piece with no divot so the nut would be flush with the piece.

Perfect solution!

Love, love, love my new pet trailer, and my dachshund loves it, too! Just added a pad to the floor and she sits there like a little princess. She gets to catch the breeze while I do all the work. Miley is 11 yrs old and has heart problems, so it’s hard for her to walk very far in the heat, so this is the perfect solution. She gets short walks and I get my exercise. Minimal assembly needed, and once attached to the bike, it is easy to remove without tools when desired.

Great value for the money and good construction

This trailer is very well made. I like the fact that it folds up and offers ample room for a dog bed. It collapses down very nicely to store in a trunk of a car. I have it assembled in 10 minutes right out of the box. All in all a great value and my neighbors want to get one now too for their dog.

A way to bring your pet on a bike ride.

The Pros are it is easy to assemble and break down for transport. It is easy to connect to your bike (though if you have a quick release tires you will need to remove the axle to attach the connector for the wagon to your rear tire). It has a screen that allows ventilation, and a roll down clear plastic windshield to protect the dog dry. The screen can be unzipped. All in all it is a very good value and will allow you to take your dog on bicycle ride. Though I would recommend bringing water and a collapsible water bowl in case the dog gets thirsty on a longer bike ride.

Perfect to take the other family members (dogs) with you.

Very well built trailer. I put my 3 chihuahua's in there on their dog bed. They love going for rides with me. I go very slow to take in the sights and so that they will be safe. I like the way it folds and un-folds in seconds. One clip and the main compartment folds down. One pin and the tongue folds under. Then I put it in the back of the car. The wheels come off quick also but I don't have to do that to get it in the car. On the first ride one dog kept digging at the screen, trying to get out so he could run for a while. I was surprised that the nylon mesh held up. No damage at all. It's solid with little impact to peddling. I can feel the weight a little when starting to peddle and when going up hills, but overall you won't even notice it's behind you.

Perfect pet trailer with all features needed

It's perfect size, good wheels, safety features. Easy to mount or demount. My dog love it. The only point I would improved is the front opening, it is a little to wide, letting more than only the dog's head to possibly go out of the trailer. The best in EU for now !

Schwinn Rascal Pet Trailer

This is a bike trailer for a small dog. If fits my French Bulldog just fine. It will actually hold 2 of them comfortably. The trailer is built nice and easily collapsable. The wheels and trailer tongue are held in place by lock pins. The pins are tethered to the frame so you wont lose them. The floor has a metal frame and a plastic abs floor. It has a removable rubber mat so clean up is easy. This is a trailer is a nice street trailer.

A great pet trailer

This is a very sturdy trailer. It goes together very quickly and easily... only 3 pins to insert and 1 bar to snap in place. Because my bike has quick release wheel locks, the trailer attachment went on in less than 2 minutes, too. The trailer is heavier than I expected, but it makes for a solid ride for my dog. Now to get him used to it, but there's plenty of room, so I added his dog bed to make him comfortable as we roll around the neighborhood.

Poodles Approved

So far so good! I have three toy poodles 12lbs each and they fit in there sitting. Isn’t much room for them to move around extensively but they really should be sitting still while we’re riding. Great sturdy mesh screen on the front. My one dog loves it. The other are still unsure but will hopefully love it. Easy to attach to bike once I figured it out. Feels safe pulling behind bike. Rubber tires are great. Comes folded in box. Just needed to unfold and click in place two bars. Tires pop on with pins and yeah pretty easy setup.

Much smaller than pictures!

Read and measure carefully, this is much smaller than the pictures. We have a 19 pound American Eskimo pup and she can't comfortably stand in this carrier. We were very surprised at how small it is in height and width. Laying down for her is tight. if your dog doesn't like the feeling of being confined then don't buy this item! We are returning it.

Weak mesh panel and poor tether point location

My dog is 49 lbs which just below the max weight rating for this trailer. The tether point is at the extreme right side of the upper crossbar. I had the included tether strap at it's shortest length possible and hooked to my dog's harness (not collar). On a gentle left hand turn, my dog fell through the right side mesh screen (broke the screen) and onto the road. Because she was still tethered, her body weight then pulled the trailer over and she was screaming in terror until I could quickly get off my bike and get to her. She was uninjured and after giving her a few minutes to settle down, she hopped back in and we continued our ride. Afterwards, I moved the tether point to the center of the crossbar (had to drill a new hole) and further shortened the tether by tying knots in it. This will hopefully prevent anything like this from happening again. I am thankful this accident happened at a very slow speed, otherwise, both my dog and myself could have been seriously injured. The strength of the mesh panels and location of the tether point are both detriments in the design of this trailer. Otherwise, it seems to be a decent product.

Great value, excellent design, easy to use

This trailer punches way above its weight in terms of ease of use, quality, and attention to detail. I opened the box and within thirty minutes my pup was enjoying her first ride in her new swagger wagon. It's a snap to collapse or set up, and it doesn't seem to change the bike's handling significantly. If your family has more than one bike/biker, I recommend getting spare hitches for everyone's bike so that you can take turns pulling the trailer - found online for under $8. Super happy with our purchase and looking forward to many happy miles together.

It is easy to pull and Cinnamon loves it!

This is small, lightweight and folds so it easily goes into the back of my car. It is great for my dog who weighs 15 lbs. We moved the tether to the back lower bar and now he can stand up and look around without it pulling too much. We have taken 2 trips thus far - one 12 miles and the other 17 miles without any problems.

Nice pet trailer... Money well spent.

The price is right and it goes together quick. Seems well made and time will determine that. Would have been nice to have a solid nylon zip top instead of a clear cover. My dog doesn’t need the sun beating on him.

Good buy

Good quality & sturdy. Reasonably priced. Folds up and fits perfect in vehicle. Easy to use. My two little dogs (19 & 11 lbs) fit perfect together. Definitely not for a large dog, wouldn't be able to sit up with the top screen closed. Like the top plastic cover to keep the cold out, would have liked for the two sides to have the same plastic cover to keep cold out. I recommend.
