Le Creuset Classic Demi Tea Kettle, Sea Salt

We have used this daily since we got it. Color was perfect, no flaws. Whistle works as it should, and is quiet when it starts, if you are concerned about waking other members of the household. It pours accurately. The handle is room temperature when the water is boiling. It looks good sitting out on the stovetop when not in use.

I love this kettle. This is my second one. I had a larger one before and it was accidentally burnt at the bottom which is why I purchased this one. This one is smaller. I still like it, but I just noticed that there is a chip on the bottom side, and I did not get a protection plan, so I am disappointed. Other than that, I would recommend this kettle. I purchased a blue one for my brother and he loves it.

Terrible quality. Very disappointing

I received this tea pot from my daughter last Christmas. It was so pretty to look at for about 2 or 3 days. The color started coming off the bottom and sides, and the inside began to peel and leave pieces of brown in my tea. We were both highly disappointed in your product. She spent a lot of money on the teapot, mainly thinking it would be a good purchase due to the brand. What a disappointment. I truly wish I would have returned it, as it is not suitable for use. Total waste of her hard earned money.

Disappointing

Although the tea kettle is attractive and looked great when left out on the stove the quality is quite disappointing. This is my second Le Creuset tea kettle. It rusted terribly on the inside. The enamel chipped on the first one. In neither case did Le Creuset stand behind their product and offer a replacement or refund.

Love this! Perfect

Love, love Lecreuset! The Demi tea kettle just the right size. Love all the colors I choose the yellow, it just makes everything pop in the kitchen. Hint—-don’t be afraid to add color of any kind to your decor. You’ll be surprised what it does. I’m the only one that drinks tea, except when my daughter comes so this is the perfect size. It’s good for 3-4 servings of boiled water.

This is the perfect size - enough for 4 cups but not too big; heats one cup of water efficiently. Beautiful and elegant, even though I did not realize the colors have some ombre shading; I thought that was just the photo angle. Quality is top notch, and both the handle and spout are well designed for function. Le Crueset knows what it is doing when it comes to cookware, and I feel as if I am in France when I use this tea kettle.

Beautiful but not very functional

I bought this to replace an older tea kettle that started to rust on the inside. The color and look are beautiful, but every time I pour the water out it drips all over the countertop or the floor. I can’t figure out what the design flaw is, but needless to say, hot water dripping everywhere is not ideal or safe! I definitely thought the quality would have been slightly better

Le Creuset tea kettle

I purchased two less expensive tea kettles before my Le Creuset. They were flimsy, not good quality and on one the cover was not secure and came off when pouring boiling water. They also took quite a while for the water to reach boiling temp. I love the quality of the Le Creuset. It boils water quickly and has a very nice whistling sound. It also looks so nice on my stove!

Brown yuck inside

I purchased this product believing the inside is enamel, which it is NOT! My boiled water started getting a slight orange color. I wiped the inside and the towel I used had brown stuff all over it. I have no idea what that could be possibly rust or chemicals from what ever they used internally. I feel ripped off, lied to and now worried that what ever the inside material used is going to cause poor health consequences.

Dribbly/drippy kettle. Boo.

2 stars because the spout dribbles. At best, a few drips at the end of a pour, when the kettle is close to empty, a constant, slow trickle when close to the max recommended fill.

This Kettle is a safety Risk!!!

This is absolutely the worst item I have ever purchased from Williams Sonoma. I have always loved my Le Creusel cookware and expected to love this kettle. It is terrible... the lid sticks, it leaks from somewhere around the handle when I pour, and worst of all, it spurts out boiling water if I try to pour too quickly after removing it from the stove. It is so dangerous!!! I inquired about returning, but was told I could not as I was outside of the return window. WS should discontinue this item as it is complete garbage and a safety hazard.

A few flaws for the money

The kettle is heavy and feels of good quality. The color is vibrant and looks as expected. I appreciate the lack of rust on the inside of my kettle.

So beautiful yet so disappointing

I ordered this on december 2021 and it arrived on july 2022. It is now May 2023 and I have not even had it for a year yet and it’s already defective. I follow all the instructions. I wash by hand. I only fill you the fill line and I do not leave sitting water in it. Yet somehow the neck has cracked. I’m going to guess it was not properly attached. For the price I am very frustrated to have to write this review. I reached out to Williams Sonoma, due to the 30 day return policy they can not help and have referred me to lecreuset. After reading other reviews I am not holding my breath. I hope one of these two companies will stand by their products but again won’t be holding my breath unfortunately. I only wish I would have read these reviews prior.

Love at first boil

This is the perfect sized kettle measuring a liquid amount of 1.1L (think the size of a Nalgene bottle). The handle height is also perfect and doesn’t pose any issues with accidental touching of the kettle lid when pouring/handling after water has boiled. I also filled the kettle to the maximum amount and due to the perfect engineering of Le Creuset the water boiled under 5min! I’ve been on the market for a non metal kettle and this one is definitely perfect! 10/10 would recommend! It’s also extremely cute and sits beautifully on the stove top 😍

Arguably, the worst kettle I've ever owned

I drink a lot of tea and need a reliable and easy to use kettle, even if it is expensive. I am looking for the best. So I went for this one from Le Creuset. But what a disappointment!
