it's just ok. I like the look, but it is shaky when it's windy and when it rains, it gets condensation in the globe. Just wondering how long the electric components will work when water is getting into the globe.

Based on Cost...This is a great fixture. It is not Powder coat paint finish, so finish will scratch very easily. But overall this fixture is great for the lower cost range.

Decent Fixture based on cost

Light stopped working 1.5 months after installing.

Any reccomendations on a refund? Has this happened to anyone else? Very dissapointing.

This light did not fit the standard 3" post and the electrician had to crimp the post to get it on. Now the light has rusted and is crumbling at the bottom......it is getting replaced by an aluminum light!

This pole lamp is very attractive. The attaching screws used to hold it onto the collar of the pole were extremely poorly made. 2 of the 3 tore out of the threaded entries on the collar hold. After the 1st rain I found 2 inches of water in the base.

Disappointed

I am very disappointed with the post light. When my electrician tried to install the light it wouldn't fit over the cap on top of the post. The cap wasn't the problem it was inside the bottom of the fixture. Where the 3 screws that tighten to the cap the holes where the screws go though were pushed in and prevented the fixture from sliding on. He tried sanding down the cap which is heavy duty metal and couldn't shave it down. After trying for over a 1/2 hour my neighbor came by and told him he had a tool that would help. The electrician finally slaved it down enough to get the fixture on. After he tighten the screws against the cap we noticed the top of the light moved. I told him I can't have that it would move if it was windy. He took it off and tried to tighten the screws but nothing helped. I told him forget it and I'll order another one. When the new one came it did the same thing, the top of the light moved. I told him I could buy any thing else because I had the matching ones on the house. He said he could screw it together and it would take care or it. So with all the trouble and an extra $100 I paid out to the electrician that's why I'm giving both the Quality and installation a poor rating.

Not exactly right but looks good

I have ordered a total of 9 of these lights and several were last minute additions. It was a shame I had to increase the size and change color because you did not have additional lights available.

Looks great, plenty of light

This post light was used to replace a large white globe we had previously lighting our home pathway. Assembly was very easy, the standard black, white, and ground wire were simple to connect, again used a 75 watt halogen soft white and it provided plenty of lighting for us. I did find it felt a bit wobbly at first but you can adjust the tension screw underneath to tighten the lantern before placing it on the 3" post we had. The only gripe we had was we wish it was slightly bigger. Our globe was 4 inches larger so it made a bit of a difference. After a while we really didn't notice anymore and admired our new lights. Again, great nautical cape cod feel... Love it.

Looks better than it is. Faulty Assembly, Poor Quality and Wobbly on its Base

Terrible quality control. We returned the first lamps sent because they were assembled incorrectly. The replaced items were just as bad. We re-assembled them ourselves. The basic design is flawed. The lamp looks good but wobbles on its base. They will most likely fail in a short period of time. We were behind schedule due to the time lost in sending back units and waiting for new ones. Next time I will go to a reputable dealer where I can physically examine the product. Purchasing this type of item on line turned out to be a bad idea.

Cheap materials & workmanship

This lantern is very pretty, but just like the Bel Air LightingLighthouse 1-Light Outdoor Hanging Black Lantern with Seeded Glass that we bought, this is poorly made of inferior materials. Overpriced for what you get.

Love this Post Light - a good size/scale and for a reasonable cost

I bought this a month ago. I had been having a hard time finding a post light for my driveway light. This has a slightly nautical / New England feel, and it's large, so it is impressive. Our previous lamp had been the wrong color, and was not large enough in scale to "fit" it's post. The glass on this light is seeded - a nice touch.

Perfect down light for circle drive

I have 14 lanterns on posts, starting at the property entrance, along a circle drive. We just love the style and down lighting.
