Charged for Returning a Door Handle We Didn't Like

Once the handle arrived, we held it up and saw it next to the door, we determined that it wasn't going work out for us. The issue with the review is that Build.com actually charged us the shipping cost to send this item back! I didn't even think to look at the return policy before ordering it from them because I didn't think online retailers charge for that anymore. In light of this, we ended up purchasing replacement levers for all of our interior and exterior doors from someone else.

Schlage J40-SEV Interior Door Handle

We ordered about 20 of these for the interior of our home. We have installed them and been using them for about a month. We love them. We love the appearance and the functionality. You can switch the handle direction. The directions for this with the knob were difficult to understand, but after a quick YouTube search, it was easy. We would definitely recommend and order again if needed.

Poor Design

The privacy and lock function door levers from this line are for right hand doors only. Yes you can turn the handle upside down and it still works, but it doesn't look right. Pretty big design flaw if you ask me. The curve of the handle should always the same no mater which way the door swings.

Cheap
