Didn't work right

The keys to the old door lock was lost so I got this one to replace it as it looked to be the same thing. It installed just like the old one but the inside knob wouldn't turn unless the key was in the lock meaning you couldn't get out of the house using the knob. Ended up just using the old lock with the new key cylinder.

Pleasantly surprised to find it is the same brand of lock I'm replacing "Hickory Hardware" – which I was looking for! Only snag was finding someone to "cut" the screws to size, as they wouldn't bend to snap off between the indented segments – they needed to be cut on a power saw for metal! Luckily my local hardware store cut them for me as I was getting an extra key made. Otherwise very happy with this purchase which came with free delivery!

Great Value for the Money

Our door lock unexpectedly broke and we weren't able to get to a store to purchase another. We went on line and compared different products and prices at various stores, and we found this lock at Home Dept. We thought it would work, the price was very good, shipping was free and its arrival was within a few days. The lock arrived early and it was fairly easy to install. Would highly recommend.

Replacement for old item in old house

I bought this item several months ago online as I could not find a replacement that would work in our front door that is from when the house was built in 1929. It has worked quite well for us.

Had an identical security lock that this one was replacing after the old knob fell off from constant daily use.

POOR FUNCTION

Key spins, does not unlock properly. Sometimes it unlocks and other times it does not.

Product does not work

I purchased one of these to replace a similar lock on an old cottage door. Using the knob inside, the lock worked fine as a deadbolt. However, when trying to use the key to unlock it, it would not do so. I could lock it with the key, but it would not unlock. The key just kept turning and turning and I could feel when it was supposed to move the deadbolt, but then it skipped and kept turning. I bought another one thinking I just had a lock with a defect, but the second one does the exact same thing.
