Very Slippery

Slippery as soon as soap is on it. I thought the pebble bottom would prevent that from happening but it didn’t. I would never purchase this again.

directions are very poor

On the box and other places it says not mortar required which technically it isn't unless you floors are uneven. What it doesn't say until you get into the directions is that you must laydown a 1/2" of glue but it says nothing about what type of glue. It also doesn't say anything about supporting the front edge which can be elevated some if you use mortar. It looks great but spending a few more minutes on directions would be nice.

Overall this is a quality shower pan. The gel coat finish is smooth and shiny. Bottom has circular support columns to stiffen the base up. Our contractor still laid this base into mortar to produce a firm feel. Packaging is decent, but I reccomend carefully inspecting product for cosmetic damages caused in shipping.

Dreamline Shower Base

I purchased the first shower base in 2021 and had it installed by a Home Depot installer. After a month we noticed that it was developing cracks. We reached out to Dreamline as it was under warranty. They were great to deal with and they sent us another one very quickly. Unfortunately, the second shower base that was installed has also developed several cracks. The quality is very disappointing and I wouldn't recommend.

Delivery was shown as one date. The day before that we got confirmation it would be delivered to store. Did not hear anything and called the day after to be told the pan was still at warehouse in PA. Would be an additional week. Finally to store and we picked it up.

Great shower pan. Low profile and solidly built. Tough finish that’s has held up well over time. This is the third one I’ve bought for bathroom remodels.

Good product, dimensions were accurate. However drain location for replacing the one that was there was 2” closer to threshold than the one that was in there. Came with small ding but lucky the shower enclosure covered it up so no worries there.

Cracked every time

We ordered this pan initially through our plumbing company and it was delivered cracked at the corner. We decided to go through Home Depot to get a larger one and two orders later they were both cracked, one at the corner and the other mid way on the top lip where the pan gets secured to the studs. The pan itself is beautiful however getting an intact one is a nightmare. We eventually gave up, got a refund, and built a shower pan the old school way.

This shower pan was very affordable. The shipping was right on time. The fit is perfect. It compliments the shower surround that purchased separately.

this is a pretty awesome shower pan, as far as shower pans go it is the best I could find. With the name like slim line I would’ve hoped it would be even slimmer, but there is no better option. Be sure to put mortar under it so that it has a nice solid feel when you stand on it, and flex.

I am reviewing this product 2 years after I installed it and it has held up very well. This shower base feels very solid under foot and the slight texture ensures it is not too slippery when wet. The method of installation is absolutely critical to how solid the base will feel when installed. Instructions indicated securing the base to the floor with mortar in selective areas on the underside of the base which is what I did. This ensures the base does not cave or bend under weight which is why it feels solid. My only negative comment and the reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the front portion of the base where the shower doors are installed is so narrow that only a handful of shower doors will work with it. I ended up going with the DreamLine Essence 44 in. to 48 in. W x 76 in. H Sliding Frameless Shower Door in Matte Black with Clear Glass that the manufacturer recommended but availability was limited due to supply chain issues. I had the doors installed by a contractor since they were so heavy. That said the walls have to be perfectly square or the doors won’t fit the base properly. All in all I am happy with the purchase of this base and would recommend the product.

Perfect fit for the shower. Be sure to pay attention to the direction in which you will enter the shower. This pan is designed to enter long ways. 

I already had a transolid base to use but it had some blemishes so I ordered this one as an option to not delay the install. It was a very nice base til I saw larger flaws. The transolid was a superior base and the blemishes were able to be hidden based on location so I chose that one and would do it again. But the Dreamline would not have been a disappointment. If I didn’t have the transolid as an option I would have been extremely happy with the dreamline (other then I would have to return it and get one without the dents/divots that could not have been hidden. It’s a beautiful, sleek, solid, sturdy base with a great nonslip bottom. I would definitely order that one if the transolid base was not available.

Item left at a gate which is not close to my house, and definitely not in a secure safe place. For a disabled person to now have to lift the item and carry to the house was truly inconvenient and impossible since the item is heavy. Now I have to find someone to carry the item to my house. I am very disappointed in the delivery of item.

This color is like a medIum bone color. Well made, no flaws. Shipped my 34”x60” quickly with no damage. Bottom has graduated raised circles for stability and drainage. Mfg has other colors for clip on strainer, easy to change.

Leaks after 8 Months - Do not buy

This base will leak. We have been using the same plumber for years and he does great work. He installed two of these bases in our house and because they are not supportd on the underside they will flex whenever you step on them. The flexing of the product shifted the waterproofing and resulted leaks in both our showers. We are trying to remedy the problem but we may have to remove these bases completely to avoid further leaks and water damage to our house.

I purchased this base and was happy with it for 5 years until a bunch of cracks appeared around the drain. I had to have it replaced and it was very expensive project. The base came with a limited lifetime warranty so I wrote an e-mail to Dream Line with photos, proof of purchase, etc. and got absolutely no response from them at all. Very disappointed in the quality and durability of the base and the brush-off from Dream Line who did not stand behind their product. I will not purchase another product from them.
