Very questionable specs (3 amps) to support >7 amp (3/4 or 1 HP) garbage disposers

Purchased at Ferguson/build.com. Beware this air switch is only rated at 3 amps or very light duty (as an E.E, I'll say that is good for ~1/3 HP or less disposers). This should be advertised front and center and is no where to be found on any description or spec sheet. On the contrary, the product page mentions nothing about this, and implies that it works with everything including up to the Kraus 3/4HP and 1HP disposers (which potentially will draw 5 and 7 amps, respectively, and in-rush current is likely far higher). Curious what exactly the UL listing folks would say about this? Disappointingly, more manufactures than not seem to not publish amp rating. However, looking at several other manufacturers, this device does appear to be sorely under-spec compared to the competition:

I love this so much. I live in an old home with little spot for a switch for the disposal. This is the perfect solution. I decided to install a new sink, disposal, soap dispensers with this whole project. I highly recommend.

Used this when installing a garbage disposal in a kitchen that didn't have one so there was no switched outlet. Switch was an easy install and works as designed.
