Do NOT buy a Kraus faucet

Do NOT buy a Kraus Oletto faucet. I purchased the Kraus Oletto faucet from Lowes.com and had it installed right away. The faucet came with a broken weight and needs the cartridge replaced. I called the 800 number for assistance and was told that to receive support would require that I open up a claim, email a copy of my receipt, and then provide pictures of the issues. This is a brand new faucet that has been installed within the last ten minutes. Now to fix and use their product I have to open a claim, take pictures, download my receipt, and respond to emails? I asked to speak to a supervisor to resolve the issue, but no one was available to speak with me even after I volunteered to wait as long as needed. The agent stated that they were also unable to provide an email address. No other solution was provided. This faucet is being returned and replaced with a brand that takes responsibility and provides support such as Moen. I see that Kraus responds to negative reviews so perhaps someone will fix my issue now. Kraus do not put the onus on the customer to fix your subpar product!

Awful Design

Terrible product. The touch sensor turns off automatically after three minutes. This means that even if you manually turn on your faucet using the handle, it will stop working after 5 seconds. You have to "wake up" the sensor again by touching the faucet. This means to use your kitchen faucet normally (if it has been more than 3 minutes since you used it last), you have to turn it on AND touch it. Complete idocy.

failed in less than a year

The faucet became unreliable at about six months, then failed completely. It was still under warranty, but the warranty process was a bit cumbersome. It took multiple emails and photos, and even sending a video of the faucet not working. I guess that's better than having to return it. A new one is supposedly on its way to me now.

Worst touch faucet ever!

This is the worst experience ever! Installed it a few days ago and the touch sensor does not work. It's hit-and-miss. We have to keep playing with the wires or smack the faucet repeatedly and then we get water for a few minutes, then nothing happens. This is the most frustrating faucet we have ever purchased.

Nice faucet but has its flaws

This is a really nice faucet, but as the other reviewer mentioned, the spray nozzles seem to have a design flaw. Our first one split and now the replacement they sent us is also split. It doesn’t leak and isn’t really noticeable, but still shouldn’t happen.

Terrible product, don't buy touch

This item has never worked from day one with the touch feature. I got a new battery and control box under warranty and still didn't work. I tried numerous ways to install it to no avail. I didn't mind too much since I liked the faucet. However, after the warranty just expired, the item now randomly turns off and won't turn back on for a few seconds. I've tried everything to get it to work. I removed the flow reducers/back flow units, I put new batteries in, disconnected the battery box, nothing works. It's useless now and I have to buy a new faucet. I'm going with Moen this time since it has a lifetime warranty versus 1 year. I went with this one because of the thin, sleek design and I have a windowsill right behind the sink. The sink is also Krause and that is really nice, just not their faucets. Don't buy, you'll regret it.

Leaky after a week.

I bought this in June but didn't get it installed until August. My bad, I can't return it to Home Depot because it's past the return date.

Terrible functionality. Returned

The item has a nice sleek style but instantly felt really lightweight and flimsy-like it wasn't going to last. My biggest gripe is the functionality. You can't use the faucet manually, it almost exclusively works when you touch the faucet. The only exception is that it can be used manually within a short window after being touched. I tried switching it to the manual mode, but it didn't work. It also randomly turns off when I'm washing dishes/filling large pots.

High style low function

Love the look of this faucet but after owning two and having problems with both I will not buy again. The first one had a washer failure inside the water line; not a common sized washer so impossible to find a replacement at any local pluming supply houses or big box stores. The second and current one we own is having some sort of failure with the temperature mixing valve. Unless we run the water full blast it scalds us or runs cold. No in between. Causes us to waste water when we wash dishes and is unsafe and frustrating.

Falling apart after less than a year

Have used this product for less than a year now. Will be contacting the manufacturer for a refund. The toggle between water flow and water spray no longer works. The retract mechanism no longer works, so the faucet nozzle dangles down. Had high hopes that this faucet would last for years to come but that hasn't been the case.

No manual override

There is no manual override to be able to use the faucet without the touch feature. We have a faulty control box and when it acts up we can't get water from the faucet. Most other brands have a feature to be able to switch to manual mode. This one does not. Their stated "manual" mode still requires the touch sensor to be working so it's not a true manual mode. Highly inconvenient! We have no water while we wait for the replacement part. Poor design.

Nice faucet. Questionable durability.

Overall the faucet has been great. It functions smooth and easy. The finish seems very durable. Only problem we’ve encountered is a small split/crack in the nozzle spray head. We haven’t tightened it or don’t anything to it and it has split. It’s not the toughest plastic.

Huge Disappointment

I bought this faucet for a kitchen remodel since I've had Kraus faucets in several other houses and was very happy with them. The only positive things I can say about this is that it was on sale and it's attractive. The touch feature is frustrating at best. If you go near the sensor, it shuts off. When I shut off the faucet using the touch feature it drips, so I then need to shut if off manually to stop it . When I turn on the faucet, the spray nozzle drops down and doesn't retract. The spray nozzle is plastic and very "cheap" feeling (not the case with any of my prior Kraus faucets). The water flow is poor and the spray feature is more like a fine mist than a strong spray. The manual handle is so thin that I fear it will break off after a short while. All in all, I'll be paying to have this removed and another faucet (not a touch sensor, and not a Kraus) installed. A total waste of money on the faucet, installation and removal.

The most frustrating faucet, we returned. The touch does not...

The most frustrating faucet, we returned. The touch does not work. You could not just tap the faucet with the back of your hand to turn on, it would have to be a firm full hand touch and even then it would take multiple touches for the faucet to turn on. If the touch does not register, you can’t just use the faucet handle to turn on the water, you always need to touch to activate. We never knew if we’d be able to get water to come out of this faucet. If you want a touch faucet, look at other brands. Definitely would not recommend.
