great toaster

This toaster does exactly what it's supposed to, make toast. Excellent results for bagels, frozen waffles and toast.

Only toasts on one side. Went to put it back in the box to return and there was crumbs in the bottom of the box, so someone else had returned it before us!

I love the toaster but it doesn’t toast both sides evenly. I would still recommend it though

Pretty but Doesn't toast

This toaster is pretty, but it doesn't toast my English muffins. Even at the highest setting, the muffins are only sort of half-toasted. Pushing the handle down again results in my forgetting and they end up burnt. Bagel setting doesn't toast at all.

Hot to the Touch

I appreciate the variable settings, which is why I selected it. But as we learn to use it, if we have it set a little too high and the toast, English muffin or bagel has been in long enough, the lever is much too stiff to manually raise with one hand and the housing is way too hot to "anchor" with the other hand (without burning that hand). We have to keep an oven mitt handy. As we continue to use the toaster, it's not loosening up, still requiring 2 hands and a mitt to lift the lever if the toast isn't popping up soon enough to suit various members of the family. We have turned it down several times and are still learning which settings various members of the family like, but it's just too HOT! We need a toaster whose lever lifts with one hand.

This is a really nice toaster. It works great and looks sleek and contemporary on my countertop. I recommend purchasing this as it is moderately priced.

Faled right at the 2 year mark

I purchased this Krups toaster to replace one that I had for 12 years that had finally stopped working. This Krups toaster failed right after the 2 year mark, so no warranty could be honored. Very disappointed in the lack of quality and the poor (short) warranty. Needless to say, my next toaster will be a different brand.

The appliance has a stylish and clean look to it. Appreciate the choices of defrost/bagel etc. After suffering through several cheap toasters that lasted less than a year, I am feeling hopeful.
