Well thought out
I really like it, coffee is done quickly with preheated water, love the features like the downward angled collector spout (less sputtering all over the stovetop if you ventured too far away with the lid open) and the no-screw base.
Wonderful
I own many Moka pots, three of which are Alessi. This is a very well made product and aesthetically pleasing. Great customer service too!
Timeless and Beautiful but very Functional
Ive used this same product for over 35 years and it never disappoints. The design is timeless, quality superb and the coffe is fantastic ( providing good Italian espresso is used). Bought another as a back up.
Daily use [beautiful workhorse]
Hip bauhaus looks, an element of surprise in the design that is continually appealing, and absolutely wonderful coffee. Use a very dark roast, nice oily beans, and grind (fine) immediately prior to using. A splendidly useful tool from the 1970s that has a timeless quality; stylized, yes, but no anachronism, even as it approaches a half-century in production.
Really Cool Vintage Coffee maker
Alessi always has the coolest stuff. This coffeemaker is displayed in the MOMA, Zurich Design museum etc. and is a classic timeless design which the company released 40+ years ago. It is easier to clean and to use than Bialetti, and feels more durable, but is also a lot more expensive.
I wanted a stainless steel Moka pot instead of the typical aluminum so I paid more and went for this one. There’s a definite learning curve for the Moka pot with regard to grind size and other things, but once you’ve figured it out it’s well worth it. I do use hot water in the base and then put it on med/low heat with the lid up so I can see when it’s time to remove it from the stove.
Forever young
The previous version we had very many years in use and now had to switch to the version for induction. All around perfect function: very fast cooking, the buckling mechanism is excellent. That there are spare parts and therefore the cooker is virtually eternal - that is sustainable combined with design and function!
No better than other ones !
Dont believe because of the hype and the price tag that this makes coffee any better than any other coffee maker , because it doesn't . The coffee is much the same or very slightly worse . I bought because I wanted to get away from the made in china electric rubbish that lasts five minutes and because I DID believe the hype . Its ok and I will stick with it now , I am out of the Chinese rubbish loop !
Finally also for induction
The tilting technology is ingenious - so you can also open the hot machine, empty and refill. Click, clack, go.
This is an amazing functional piece of art. I love it and it makes great coffee. My only downside is that Peters of Kensington write this up as 1.4 litre capacity (6 cup) when it is actually only holds about 180 ml roughly 6 shots or 2 good cups of coffee.
Coffee game changer
I had been considering a number of different appliances for making coffee at home, but I came across this on NM. I did some research into this device, including YouTube, and just took a chance. It checks all the boxes for me. Compact, low maintenance, easy-to-use, and makes DELICIOUS espresso! Highly recommend if you're someone who doesn't want the upkeep of an actual machine.
Pay more, get more!
Allesi is a brand synonymous with quality & the Sapper stove top coffee maker is no exception. Well constructed, beautifully designed & simpler than anything else to use. Money well spent.
beautiful and sturdy
We use this every morning for our morning cup and it is wonderful to see sitting on the stove when not in use. It was a wedding present, which we treasure. It’s surprisingly quick and easy to use, just add water and coffee and leave on stove for about four minutes. It’s turned a golden sepia on the bottom, which adds to the patina. AND this coffee maker is in the permanent collection at MoMA!
Great design
We have been using this espresso pot in various sizes for years. With the old models the bottom fold became leaky after some time. Nobody knew why - maybe overheating. Then we switched to the cheap aluminium classic, but I didn't like the design or the taste of the aluminium pot.
Alessi espresso maker
Nice classic. High quality stainless steel finish. Seems very stable and noble. In the beginning the opening and closing is a little difficult, but I think it will soon be over.
Perfection
The design is fantastic. I used one first in Italy and was so impressed with the design after all the unscrew types l had used...my daughter had to figure out how to open it though...but so simple once we knew..Clean and easy to wash. Replacable parts are available. They're expensive but worth it.l have 3 in different sizes because I'm worth it.
Delicious Espresso
Typical Alessi. And yet you can always find new ideas to enjoy your espresso. But it is also excellent as a decorative element. Or even to collect. Ales forever.
Beautiful design
The Alessi espresso maker has a very nice design. It works uncomplicated. Since I do not have a gas stove and the heating on the hob is not optimal (waste of energy, time) I bought a small hotplate with the appropriate diameter.
Espresso for 3 and a cup of caffeine :)
The espresso maker with its clear design language prepares the best coffee for us. It is used daily by us and can be easily dismantled and cleaned. The insert for preparing only one cup also works very well, but you have to be careful not to bend the insert. The sieve plate could be made of a stronger stainless steel plate. Nevertheless you get top quality for a fair price. In the household of my parents the same cooker can be found since many years. This was also the reason why we bought the stove. It is durable and therefore the price is justified.
Induction-proof, super processed, lasts forever, makes the best espresso
this machine is just great. The preparation is puristic and simple. A "normal" espresso powder from the organic market and from the delicatessen is sufficient, because the espresso is cooked with an ideal pressure ratio. The dry cleaning's great. The seal holds even after three years of daily cooking very well. We've got an induction cooker.
