Great product I installed in my house vented through the roof. Only critique is the strength of the top bracket that holds the shroud in place. It is very flimsy.

Sleek but extremely loud fan.

Pro- the range hood is sleek looking and has all the capabilities you need. Con- The high setting on the fan sounds like a freight train. It is so loud, you need to turn it off in order to have a conversation.

Looks great but noisy!

We purchased this fan because of looks and advertised low sound level. Upon completion I did a sound check using an app on my phone. The low speed registered at approximately 70db or 19 sones. Their claim is 3 sones at "normal speed" on the side of the box, whatever that is. QUITE A DIFFERENCE? Low speed is barely acceptable, but anything higher and we are sharing company with our friends who don't use them. Totally misleading!!

Looks good but not good quality

We bought this hood a few months ago in preparation for our renovation. When it came to the installation, the instruction were not clear and some of the components were not lining up. We had to remove a part to make the chimney work as the screw were too long. It works but I would rather have something different now that is installed. I thought Broan was good quality, I was mistaken.

Great features

A friend and I installed over a month ago. Its chimney is 12.25 inches wide, which makes it a prominent and attractive feature of our large kitchen. Visitors always say how good it looks. 450 CFM, which is plenty for the kind of cooking we do. The two LED lights provide sufficient light to the stove top. Also the three 3 scone levels are great. The lowest level is quiet and usually all we need. The highest level is a bit loud. The chimney extension reaches our nine foot ceiling.

I Just installed it recently and we are really happy with it. Fit and Finnish is excellent. Best if all, it is quiet and smooth on low speed.

Nice looking fan but serious design flaw!!!

This fan looks great, I thought it was the perfect compliment to our black stainless appliances. Put it above a new black stainless range (yes it had the recommended clearance to the range and then some) and was running the fan when I put the range on self clean. Next thing I hear is the fan trying to tear itself off the wall. I thought a bird or rodent got into the vent and fell into the fan blades? When I opened it up I saw the fan manifold and it's made out of the cheapest thin plastic that actually melted from the heat of the range self cleaning and pieces of itself fell into the fan that stayed together. Do not under any circumstances use this for a gas range (or any range for that matter), at least not one with a self clean option. It's completely unsafe and cheaply made! Avoid at all costs!

Broan nutone range hood

Very good range hood! I tried different range hoods but this is best.

Solid product

Great hood, powerful, nice blue led touch buttons and easy to use, sleak styling and looks great. Very happy with product. You can even buy extensions to fit unloke most other brands at other box stores. I did a lot of research and got the right one.

1st and 2nd had manufacturing defects

The first one of these hoods i bought was twisted and the front panel was not level with the mounting bracket by about 1/4 inch. I exchanged it and now the second one is level but the fan is out of balance and vibrates at all speeds. Its enough to give me a headache. Its going back as well.

NOT an island range hood

I bought this for over my island since it says it is categorized as an island range hood. It is not, it is wall mounted, and only 3 sided

Just beautiful

Very happy with my purchase. Would definitely buy again. Great value, looks sharp and clean. I needed my handyman to help me install since im not experienced inatalling them, but it was easy to do. Highly recommend!
