Garbage product dies after 1.5 years
We bought this 1.5 years ago. While it worked very well and per specification, the blower motor died in 1.5 years. We had range hoods that worked for 15 years without any issues. The warranty coverage is limited to 1 year, which tells me a lot about how much confidence the company has in its products.

We had a professional install this and when we checked to see how it works, we were very disappointed. The lowest function works fine but the medium and high are horrible, the whole unit vibrates and shakes. It sounds like a jet engine. We purchased this based on the reviews but it is terrible.

I was hoping to have this installed before my review. However, it takes s while to plan and execute a project like this. The unit comes in one box and is packed very well. The riser pieces are nested and look great. Everything on the hood is covered with blue film to help protect it from scratching. The controls are slightly raised on th he front lip of the unit .

I used this to replace a hood that no longer worked and the difference is day and night. Not only does it suck out all the smoke from cooking it looks fantastic as well. The buttons on the front have a nice low profile. The lights light up my cooking area very nicely. The fan noise is regular but not too loud. The installation was easier than I expected.

I have an excellent experience with Broan-Nutone's bathroom ventilation fans, so this kitchen hood should work as expected. I remodeled my kitchen, and I did not want the common microwave/fan combination appliance. When one function fails with combo units and can’t be fixed, one must essentially replace the entire unit. The installation is easy to moderate when connecting to an existing round duct; I completed it in a couple of hours. The fan is very quiet on a low-speed level, and on high, it produces acceptable noise, not at all ear-piercing. The unit moves a fair amount of air up the vent from all over the stove. My wife loves the bright LED lights, and we use them all the time. It does a perfect job of illuminating the entire stove top and both sides of it. Overall, this ventilation fan does an excellent job of sucking all the smoke, smell, and steam from the kitchen stove.

We'll be doing some cabinet re-working and got this so that we're ready to go when we remove the empty cabinet above the stove...... The package contents included detailed installation instructions, the hood (of course), upper and lower decorative flues, damper flaps and the necessary mounting hardware.......This hood kit is versatile: it can be used for either a vertical or horizontal ducted install as well as a non-ducted install..... An important consideration is that a minimum distance of 24" and a maximum distance of 36" from the stove top is required...... This range hood has some excellent features including a control panel with five soft-press buttons...... The buttons control the blower speed (low-medium-high) two lights (one at each end of the hood) and a button labeled "5 minute delay" which is actually a 5 minute delay "OFF" button). ....

It looks great. The lights are bright. Only complaint is, when you have it at the highest fan setting it is a little loud. It does do a good job at sucking the air out. Mine vents through the roof. It has a nice modern design. The fan itself cleans easily. You can just wipe down the hood and run the grease filters through the dishwasher. It was easy to install.

An amazingly modern looking range hood, perfect for that very European kitchen you are designing. It does not look like any range hood anywhere else - it is very stark and blocky with its very definitive lines. There is no graduation from the hood to the finished vent above it. It looks very German or Swedish in its overall look and feel. The controls are perfect - and give you all you need to make this a great functional vent for your kitchen. My photos were the best I could take, given the size so I focused on the connections and the vent stack

Excellent 30 inch low profile chimney hood. 450 CFM is pretty good but a tad loud at the highest setting but hey, I'd rather have a clean smelling house than a super quiet fan. It was very well packaged but kind of heavy. You'll need two people to carry it and install it but once it's up, it' looks great. Keep the blue plastic on it until you're done w construction in the rest of the kitchen. The buttons don't really "push" in so they're more of a touch button, but I don't know if it's waterproof/ resistant. Water/moisture damaging buttons on exhaust fans is common with many exhaust systems. Buttons are also known to break with other fans. Time will tell but I won't be spraying water or chemicals on these buttons! Just use a damp cloth and wipe it.
