Good until it becomes dangerous and unsafe for cooking
This was the only slow cooker I have used and it was good until it became dangerous. The non-stick insert lining began to bubble up and made cooking food in it dangerous. It's just an expensive piece of trash after this happens ...
Insert please
Need reasonably priced insert desperately. Any recommendations?
Defective Insert Shortens Lifespan
I am sad to join the hundreds of voices here lamenting the quality of the insert in this slow cooker. I purchased many years ago, despite the steep price, specifically to benefit from the “lifetime” warranty. The bubbles that have formed are not a result of scratches or any misuse. I agree that with other posts that what is happening here is the definition of manufacturer defect. Aside from this issue, I have loved the product. I would happily continue using it & speak highly of All-Clad if the insert were replaced under the warranty. I can’t justify the expensive insert replacement when it seems likely the same problem will occur. I also purchased at Williams-Sonoma. Very disappointed in WS & All-Clad as it relates to this issue. I’m off to look for a new slow cooker which will be purchased someplace other than Williams-Sonoma and will be a brand, sadly, other than All-Clad.
Good for a few years. Then breaks
Had this slow cooker for about 5 years. Then the electronics just stopped working. Had to plug it in for 2-3 hours ahead of use before it would turn on
Coating peeling off inside
I’m having problems with the coating coming off inside the cast iron insert. Can you buy replacement for this? It is still working properly,, but very concerned about the coating inside coming off!
Good, but could be better
The lid does not have a little hole it in as the previous version, causing a lot of steam built up in the slow cooker. Maybe that is a good thing. The handles on the insert are not protected so they get very hot and unusable once it is on.
Terrible quality
I received this for a Christmas gift and have used a handful of times but the insert is bubbling and peeling.
Poor longevity
Have been happy with this high end slow cooker but the display has failed and is currently out of service. Poor longevity is the reason for 1 star
Disappointed
I bought this slow cooker probably about 10 years ago to mainly use for family get togethers. So probably about 10 times. I pulled it out of the box that I always kept it in and it would not work! I was absolutely astounded by this. I generally always use my cheap slow cooker because it is just for the house and I wanted my good slow cooker for entertainment at Showers and outside party.
The non-stick coating WILL bubble - it is just a matter of time
The non-stick coating on the aluminum insert WILL start to bubble and peel. It is just a matter of time. Remarkably, as it begins to lift and bubble, the non-stick material hangs together. It is the very definition of MANUFACTURERS DEFECT when a coating WILL NOT ADHERE to the metal substrate. If anyone at All-Clad at all concerned with brand reputation, they would immediately replace these DEFECTIVE inserts with a durable insert. May I suggest ceramic? Or, perhaps an actual D3 or D5 pan that fits in the slow-cooker? It is the right thing to do. Is management listening?
Bad priduct
How come this item is still in the market being sold! It is very obvious that more people are not happy with this product. Until All-clad makes the improvement, I definitely not buying this. Customers deserves a recall get their money back.
Terrible cooker
Horrible - my liner peeled nearly completely off after several uses.Very toxic....
There are no features that can make up for the coating peeling!!!
I purchased my All-Clad 7 qt. slow cooker approximately 2 years ago. It was used quite infrequently and never cleaned/washed in the dishwasher (problem is it does not fit). However, I noticed about a year ago the insert was bubbling and peeling and pieces of the coating were ending up in the food. Not wanting to feed pieces of coating to my guests, I decided to throw the entire meal in the trash. I expected much better quality from All-Clad. Calling Customer service was a complete wast of time. It should be re-titled "Customer Dis-Service."
Always cooks to perfection!
Excellent slow cooker. I've purchased for family members, as well. Always cooks to perfection!
Slow Cooker with Aluminum insert
I love this cooker! You can start by browning on the stove then move it to the slow cooker
Terrible
Loved that you could start meal stovetop. We loved it for several months until it began bubbling and peeling. I continued to use it until I realized how unsafe it was. My husband purchased from Williams sonoma- i find it funny that they say it is handcrafted and how amazing it is- charging so much and it begins peeling. Major thumbs down. DO NOT PURCHASE.
Loved it for one year
One year and one week later it no longer works. Do NOT recommend. As a foodie group member, and am able to recommend several appliances, this one is not one of them. We will see how customer service handles this since I still have 51 weeks in the warranty period.
Best slow cooker ever!!!!
I have had this slow cooker for years. I use it multiple times a week. It cooks meats and dishes perfectly. Many friends land family have borrowed it, then ended up purchasing one. This is the fourth one I have purchased for wedding gifts. Everyone has said they use it in a regular basis and love it. I would suggest it to anyone. Totally worth the money.
Liner peels
Spent the extra money because all clad is known for durability liner peeling can’t use and I use my crockpot weekly

This came highly recommended and the quality is nice. It took over 4 months to get as it was on backorder . If you think you want it for later order it now. Worth the wait :)
