Blades cut as described but disappointed in smallness of container. Also, I had to use non-stick spray (on blades) before chopping walnuts to avoid pieces getting stuck between blades. I'll keep but wouldn't recommend since it doesn't handle more than quarter of cup at a time and cost $20! It will probably be donated to local thrift store

We have had a chopper for years, and it finally got replaced by this. Kinda wish I did it sooner, the blades are sharp and effective. I use it mainly to chop nuts for cooking. Works great!
