I've had this for 5 months now and it has been an absolute struggle to keep the temp and humidity consistent.

DO NOT BUY!!

I've had 3 of these things and none of them heat and/or cool. Their customer service is touted and yet in all 3 instances I was offered a "coupon code" to purchase another unit, no replacement!! My Newair mini refrigerator and now Nugget Ice Maker are having issues as well. To say i'm unsatisfied would be an undertstatement. Given the amount of money I've spent there is no reason there should be this many issues! Customer service offering a "coupon code" instead of a replacement is insulting.

Time for an Upgrade

Over the last several years I have gravitated away from tradition humidors and went to using several smaller tupperdors because they were easy to maintain and regulate the humidity. The NewAir humidor is leaps and bounds from how I've typically stored my cigars and after 7 days it seems my decision was the right one, though it is still early. Regardless, I am still impressed and pleased with this product. Below is a short list of good and items of note to be aware of prior to making this type of investment. The Good: 1. Sleek design 2. Instructions were detailed enough to set up, season, and regulate humidor with ease 3. Great top lighting 4. Good amount of storage (room for individual cigars and cigar boxes) 5. Can lock door when needed 6. Runs quietly Items of Note: 1. Battery for hydrometer was dead upon delivery A. I had an extra battery on hand-quick fix 2. One of the slats on the shelf separated during delivery A. Was able to press the slats back together-quick fix 3. Took about 7 days to remove manufacturing/plastic smell from unit (follow instructions) 4. Would have loved to see additional lights located towards the middle and lower shelves

Product Good, Home Depot Bad

As a budding cigar aficionado, I wanted to get an electronic humidor; something easy to “set and forget.” The NewAir humidor promised to be just the product for which I was looking!

Great 250-ct Humidor

Bought 2-weeks ago from Best Buy (yes, Best Buy sells humidors). Delivery was quick as usual. Packaging was very good; no dings, etc. Humidor was easy to unpack and set up. Cleaned inside and seasoned racks. Holding strong at 69. No issues this far. Great quaility of course. Will mention the internal temp gauge is off by about 10 degrees (-), but my standalone digital and the digital gauge for humidor are within 2 degrees. Happy! Also, if you have a smaller humidor, maybe a 5-0-60 count that has a tray, it will fit nicely in this unit as well (see bottom tray in pic). Overall, my fellow gents, my gane is now stepped up.

Probably the best humidor out there!

I love that I can control temp inside to a desired temp to keep the cigars fresh. This may seem like a pricy product, but if you really want to keep your cigars fresh, this seems like the best option. Humidity levels are accurate and cigars will keep very well in this unit. Cigars can get expensive and you want to protect your cigars as you age them. So do it right. Buy this and 3 mega packs of Bóvedas at your humidifying preference.

Reliable temperature and humidity levels

After about a year it's proven a worthy investment! Reliable temp/humidity in unstable environment. Spacious! I added 2 cedar trays (different source) since my stash is currently single cigar samplings. I've found I don't need all the Boveda packs (69%) that are suggested for size/capacity! Great customer service at NewAir for minor issue w/ hygrometer battery cover.

Only one issue i have.

First off when I opened the door of my Newair humidor the smell of the spanish cedar was intoxicating so nice. Everthing seems to be well constructed, the shelves fit nice plenty of space for laying out the cigars.

Best humidor I've ever owned

For those of us that have been smoking cigars longer than a weekend, we can all agree it takes a little bit of time to get stuff dialed in. No difference with this unit but once I got it dialed in it's absolutely perfect. I use cigar oasis for my humidification. But I love that this thing stays at the temperature I need to keep my sticks nice and fresh. The best part is that I did have a small issue and the company backs up it's initial warranty super fast with no problems. Highly recommend this unit.

This unit is not for real cigar storage!

I was under the impression that the unit would store at a temperature up to 74 degrees. Cigars should be stored at 70 degrees and 70 percent. The unit set at 74 does not get above 68. Customer service said that there is a 5 degree margin in temperature. This unit will not warm up to 70 degrees. Cigars should be stored at the same precise temperature and humidity and this unit will not remain constant. Buyer beware!!! Do not recommend!!

Exactly what I was looking for!

I never have to worry about temperature fluctuations again! I need the heating & cooling feature for the Northeast weather in an old house. It's been very humid when I bought this so it took awhile to get the humidity level to 66%. I'm still working on it as it's at 68%. I have 65% boveda packs currently in the humidor. The device is quiet. I just hear the fan running. It runs all the time to circulate the air, which is great. The door provides a tight see and the controls are easy to use. My biggest complaint is the light is useless! They should have put led strips in between the shelves. If you want to see the hydrometer reading or your cigars you'll be using your phone light.

Awesome unit with plenty of storage. Could use a better method of lighting and it will require a humidification device to maintain humidity. This is only a humidor not a humidification device. When I first opened this unit it smelled so wonderful the Spanish cedar used in this is top notch. Holds humidity very well with a great seal. I have 6 60gram 69 perfect Boveda packs in it and its holding humidity very well. However this is after the seasoning process. I do recommend this unit if you're serious about collecting and maintaining your cigars at optimal temp/humidity.

not as great as described and expected

Item took months to arrive. Temperature control is OFF! The digital Hygrometer is worthless. The light doesn't provide any light. Seal is good and thats it.

Damaged and Temp off

I bought the unit and it was back ordered. When I finally received the unit, I took it out of the box and the side of the unit was badly scratched up. Yet, the box was not damaged, which led me to believe I recieved a refurbished unit at Full price. The temp gauge is very inaccurate. I have 3 calibrated hygrometers in the unit and they are all 3-4 degrees off from the units display. I have to set it to 73-74 if I want it to be 69-70 degrees. It also is really hard to maintain RH levels. I have more consistency with a Tupperware that costs 5$. I read a lot of good reviews on the predecessor unit and had high expectations for the unit. Unfortunately I don't trust putting my boxes of expensive sticks in the unit...

Not impressed

I recently purchased a 250 count cigar humidor, and was excited to set up and get it ready. All the reviews I read were all positive. It really is a nice unit. But, unfortunately the temperature setting is way out of wack. I wanted to maintain a temp of 70deg, and to achieve this the unit must be set at 73deg! A 3 degree difference! I placed two thermometers in the unit which both read the same 69.5 degrees, while the unit was set at 73. I contacted customer support who said the unit is working normal if it's within 5 degrees! I was speechless. How do you maintain expensive cigars with a temperature control that far off??!!
