Nothing but headaches
Bought the Grohe Blue 2 years ago. Installation proved much more challenging than expected: never got it to work properly, despite our contractors spending hours on the phone with Grohe. Water is moderately carboned at best and has a funny taste. One 5lbs CO2 tank was depleted in days, which we assumed to be a faulty tank. Another one that was just installed was again depleted in days (presumably leakage). Absolutely no savings or advantage over buying carbonated water.
Good Faucet, Family is pleased with the product.
Install is detailed and a bit of a challenge but logical. I, like others didn't purchase the filter ahead of time so had to wait on that but then got to the install. I did have an issue with an error E5, called the 800 number. Tech was able to text me a page to identify the issue and was easy to trace and find the problem. The faucet feels high quality as it should for the price, the cartridge is firm in the on/off activation.
Great tap that seldom works!
We installed this Grohe Blue in our kitchen bar. When it works, it works great. The trouble is, it seldom works. Not sure how Grohe imagined homeowners were engineers but it is so finicky when the CO2 was replaced we spent hours on the phone with Grohe, purging CO2, starting, stopping, purging, starting stopping and still non stop E1 error codes. The app is useless. It's 2024 folks - time for more inuitive functioning. Online help ignores us with no returned emails; have to rely on bankers' hours phone line.
Very bad taste - I never got it to work.
I like the idea of this, and I don't know of any other option for the home. Unfortunately, the water from it tastes absolutely horrible. The plumber who installed it has been out several times to diagnose, and I have also independently gone through flushing steps with Grohe tech support. We get the water to taste okay for a day or so, then it "rots" and gets all gross again. They sell some special filters (at an extreme cost) to flush out the system, but after having done that a few times, and spent a lot of money on way overpriced filters and cleaner units, I have given up. My system is useless, nobody dare drink from it. It tastes like poison. The instructions are abysmal, but tech support is adequate. I can't speak for installation as I did not do that, but the unit is large so there was only one sink in our house where it would fit. I really wish it worked, as it's such a great concept, and seems well built. I have one more round with the plumber coming out, we shall see if that fixes it. If so, I might add another star, and if not, I'm just going to junk the unit and replace it with a standard faucet and an inventory of pre-bottled sparkly water.
Great product (while it worked), terrible support
Loved the product while it worked, but it broke and no longer stops dispensing water (I've had to turn the cold water hookup off). Attempts to contact Grohe to have the issue fixed under warranty have gone unanswered. We've unfortunately been without a functioning kitchen sink for over a week!
GROHE blue faucet
Great faucet, easy enough to install, only concerns I had are the “flexible “ tubing from the water supply to the filter head, and then to the chiller unit are not that flexible - they are not easily routable and do tend to protrude into the cabinet space. To complete the install you need to purchase a filter and the sanitizer separately which is not a problem, but that should have been communicated it needed to be purchased separately not having this available delayed the install. The instructions are typical picture book instructions (no verbiage to walk through the install) definitely could use some more detail, I found YouTube videos that when watched in conjunction with the install booklet helped clarify some of the steps.
Great system
Nice Concept, Very Expensive and Complicated
I purchased this for a wet bar. It is a great concept, however you can't adjust the carbonation of the water and it appears to be a weak carbonation even at the maximum of 70PSI. Also, the instructions are horrible, and mine was missing parts such as the washers for the CO2 which caused me searching through local stores to find since Grohe doesn't support that part. This is a very very complicated unit to setup, takes a lot of space, and you can't adjust carbonation levels. A novel concept but needs more development, especially for the overall price with will exceed 3500 once done.
Best Kitchen Appliance
One of our favorite kitchen appliances. It's a bit daunting of an installation when you see all the parts (and pictogram instructions), but I promise it's easy to figure out and well worth it.
Great product
Works great. We love soft water and this has no problem carbonating it. Installation instructions are awful so watch the video before installing.
