They were suppose to solar lights , these lights never came on at night and they were in direct sunlight for 2 weeks

The Hampton Bay Solar Black LED Disc Path Lights come in a pack of four. They are relatively flat and have a plastic spike you can snap on the back and press them into the ground to keep them secure. I found that the spike doesn't hold the light very securely but seems to stay on well enough to keep the disc in place once you set it on the ground. A nice feature is the color changing option whereby you can choose either white, red, green or blue. The lights are bright and are attractive once you place them in your yard. I've had them for about a week and one seems to be dimmer than the other three and flashes occasionally. Not certain what the problem might be but I like how they light up the area. They provide a nice accent when placed around your yard or walkway.

I purchased 2 sets of 4 lights and tested 1 set. I used them along my driveway and steps along the side sidewalk. I charged them in direct sunlight as directed before use, and initially work with a steady light for approx 8 hours. It’s winter here now in the mid Atlantic States and there’s more darkness then daylight. These lights initially glowed steadily for 7-8 hrs but after 2 weeks of use, they only stay on for 5 - 6 hrs. A motion sensor with a low light level & a brighter light when movement identified would help extend light operation each night.

They look great going down stairs to back yard!

The lights arrived on time and just as advertised. The reason for only 3 stars is that I could not use them on my steps as hoped. They are simply too bright. They shine directly into my eyes as as I climb the steps. Turning them 90 deg. does not help because they shine out the sides as well. I put tape over the LED in the center hoping that would cut the glare - It did help some but not enough. These lights would be great for indirect lighting needs where they could light a path without being directly visible to the eye.

Great lighting. I didn’t want them screwed on the deck so I used heavy duty Velcro for easy removal in the winter. I will reapply in the spring.
