Update don’t buy if you have active boys! This bed fell to pieces so quickly. Not worth it.

Horrible! It falls apart! Particles board ! No real wood. Wish I could return it to buy a quality product.

Don't purchase

After one year, the dowels and supports for the center particle board snapped and made the bed unusable. I’m so disappointed that I made this purchase last year for my new home. To those who may wonder, my husband only weighs around 210 and I am 150 and so we should by no means be taxing the supports beyond normal use case.

Product came damaged in several spots. Definitely not the quality I expected for the price I paid.

One year later and still great. I had to buy extra drawer supports like the ones it came with for my heavy sweater drawer because it kept popping out but that's the only issue I've had. And that's not hard to deal with considering I built the bed myself. Still very happy

Are you handy?

As my husband was putting this together he realized the sizing for the drawers were completely off. Luckily he had a table saw and shortened the drawers to make them work. Super thankful. I’m not sure what I would’ve done if I were doing this by myself!

DO NOT BUY IT

Unfortunately I bought it without reading reviews, bed literally collapsed , broken in pieces, within 5 days of using by girl of 11 years. Thanks god, it was not overnight. The sale was final…Very upset and in the end of day, l wish to all who participated in creating this pice of crap the same as they did to my family…I hope the God takes good care of you.

Don’t buy!

The drawers don’t stay in place and the wood for the bottom of the drawers is not sturdy and very flimsy. I’ve had the bed frame for 5 months and am looking to purchase another one.

Step One is cheap and feels cheap. It's fairly sturdy for the price point, but I wouldn't call them quality pieces. Utilitarian. Purchase if you need something now and you can't really afford anything better, but if you can, I say find something more sturdy.

Poor quality bed

The bed is of extremely poor quality and started falling apart in 2 months. The bed is unstable and the drawers are not perfectly aligned. Product is poor, customer service is terrible and South Shore will not stand behind their product to refund you. Replacement parts will only be a band-aid solution for this product should you choose to purchase it.

do not waste your money. Bed is falling apart warranty is useless.

Ordered in December 2020 Put together in January 2021 . Now august 2021 and bed had to be fixed twice already by my husband. The screws that hold frames together broke and falling apart . Very disappointed in this bed . I thaught I was buying something sturdy! :(:(
