Isn't Room Darkening as Advertised

Doesnt block the light. Even with blinds behind the curtains, the light still shines through. On a positive note, they look nice in my spare room but if you want the light to truly be blocked, these are not the curtains.

When I first lifted these out of the box, I thought "uh oh" these feel really super lightweight...like sheers (I've never had a lightweight room darkening curtain). I took it out of the package, %26 held it up to the window, %26 just as I figured, this lightweight, cheap panel, allowed every bit of sunlight through it. I ordered the mineral color, %26 it's more silver than green, but color aside, these simply don't work to block out the sunlight. What a hassle! Now I have to return.

I bought them for myself and a friend. they are so beautiful. I will probably buy more of these for my bedrooms. I put sheers in the middle. These were pretty easy to install too.

I wanted to get another panel to include in the ones I already have. I love them however, the color I need was not available. I tried 2 different ones and it was not it. I am kind of dissapointed about that. I am not sure if my color was discontinued or what. I bought the current ones in the store and I have not seen them there nor on line. Guess I'm outta luck.

Great for Boys room!

These turned out to be good. More on the rustic orange color side or really depends on the lighting and time of day. In the mornings they light up the room really cool. Not as room darkening like I would have liked but it does the job for decor. My 6yr’s favorite color is Orange and these were the winner after searching up and down for months. I like em. Had to get 2 more after initially only buying 1 pair for a more “filling” look. Purchased in size 40X63.

not blackout

so I bought these based on the reviews, hoping to get a really decent blackout curtain. But these things are more sheer than the ones I replace them with. And the width is not nearly good enough to cover a sliding glass door. I ordered two panels I should have ordered for. I love the links. I love the color. I just am unhappy with the thickness of the material and the fact that I have to order twice as many panels to cover an average sliding door

slight sheen to the fabric, luxurious look

These are a very nice fabric with a slight sheen to them. Please understand they are a light blocking curtain with a level of 2 so they do allow light to pass through. if you're looking for a higher level of light blocking these are not the curtains for you. The color (stone) was as expected, an outmealy-beige color with a little shineyness to the fabric. The grommets are silver. These curtains look high-end and are best to hang close to the crown molding for a luxurious look and this also makes your room appear larger.

Great price

These curtains are very inexpensive. They are not 100% room darkening. My bedroom faces the street so I can see shapes driving by but not clearly and/or in detail. Either way, I make sure to dress and undress in the bathroom just in case. Overall, I don't like the fabric but being on a budget during Covid and having to quarantine many times due to exposure to coworkers; these drapes work fine and the color shown online is the exact color you get which is great. I have had to send items back many times due to color online being way off from actual product. Walmart is getting better at offering products of better quality. If you are just starting out on decorating your home and are on a budget; these curtains will be great.

Great curtain for the price.

The are just right for what I was looking for. The price is right and the value is right. They are the easiest cutians I ever ironed . I ironed them on the back side. The panels also have a slight sheen to them. If you hold up the curtain to the window you'll be able to see some light. I did not buy it to darken my room. It seems to darken a little, bit anyway. If you are looking for real darkness get another type.

Perfect Color, Weight, Opaqueness, Price

I searched for orange curtains to go with my theme of orange accents throughout my living space. I wanted 95" - check! I wanted mild transparency/opaqueness - check! I wanted movement/flowiness - check! I wanted affordability - check! I wanted the perfect orange to match my decor (not too bright and not too dark) - check! I absolutely love them! These arrived in perfect packaging and on time. I ordered 4 panels (2 panels hang on each side of my window as seen in the pic). The only thing i would possibly change is to make these a little wider as they are only 40" wide, but this is not really a complaint b/c I could just order 2 more panels to give extra fullness when closed. Extremely glad I found these :)! Thanks Home Depot!

Nice Curtains!

I purchased these curtains in a shorter length so the bottom extends just past the window sills. I was never a fan of curtains and preferred plain shades over curtains, but our shades were still allowing light to slice in on the sides. I reluctantly purchased these curtain panels, but was very pleasantly surprised at how well they block the slits of light and how nice they look. I also purchased panels for two larger picture windows that face south with full blast sunlight. These panels softly block the strong sunlight without darkening the room, which is what I prefer. All our walls are white, so I purchased the neutral "stone" color and it looks very nice. These are also a great value! I am now a fan of curtains thanks to these nice curtain panels!

I bought the dark grey curtains. I like that they are thin yet block a good amount of sunlight. I don't have streetlight coming into my room, so I can't speak to how well they work with artificial light, but I'm happy with how they minimize sunlight. The color is exactly what I expected. As some others reviews mention, they were fairly wrinkled... I just put them in the dryer with a damp towel on low and that got most of the big wrinkles out. My only issue with the curtains is that they feel/look satin-like, which I didn't want. The price was Fantastic and they are an excellent value.

Very nice product. I Shipping was prompt. I took a chance the color would match or at least blend with my existing color scheme. I was completely satisfied. Not just with my color choice but the workmanship of the product is very good, the room darkening ability is without a doubt very true. I am a picky sleeper, I do not like light of any kind in my bedroom. I'm happy with this choice and will more than likely order for my quest room in the future.

My daughter had just purchased her 1st home and I was help her with the decorations so I ordered these curtains for her. They arrived within the estimated delivery window, which was a pleasant surprise. We were very pleased with the quality, color and length. She had previously purchased an area rug in store and the curtains were a perfect match. We had been a little skeptical, thinking that the colors wouldn't match but to our amazement, they did. The colors online were spot on and just as they had appeared online. Often times we buy online and when our orders arrive, the colors are off, whether it be a little lighter or a little darker or whatever the case may be but thankfully that was not the case this time. I would recommend them to anyone looking for good quality curtains that are as they appear online.

Room darkening? Hardly. I bought the teal color and my white curtains blocked more light. I also bought the Hayden Blackout Window Curtains and since both are "Sun Zero" brand, they all came in the same box with NO identification of what curtain was what. ALL they said on the outside of each package was Sun Zero. I had ordered 4 of each because I didn't know which I needed and was going to return the ones I didn't want. Also the blue color looked different between the Room Darkening and Blackout, and I liked the color of the Room Darkening better. Turns out they are BOTH the same color, regardless of what the picture shows. SO I had no idea which ones I was putting up (received late in day & room I put them up in was in the shade) The next morning I knew. 3 I put up were Blackout & the sun didn't get through, 1 was next to the Blackout and the light streamed through like I didn't have a curtain up. I had brown curtains- normal, not darkening & they were much better then these "room darkening" I did get the teal color so maybe if you get brown or black it might help, otherwise, buy the Blackout Curtains, they work well.

Good!! but...

I bought 2 panels in the citrine color and I actually really like them haha. The color is nice. Not too bright but still light up the room. They are not totally room darkening. They do block out some of the light but definitely not all of it. So if you're looking for something that's gonna block out the majority of the light go with something else. The quality is decent.. really good for the price! Honestly if you're looking for some nice curtains but don't want to spend a whole bunch these should do nicely.

Great for preschoolers room

I was looking for an inexpensive option to darken my daughters room during naps and at night in the house we rent. The price and color caught my eye on these curtains. They aren't black out curtains, but room darkening. We live on a wooded lot and she has 2 windows, one east facing and one south. When hung, her cellular blinds are visible through the closed curtains in the middle of the day (you can see through the panel). The magenta color lets in a nice purple-pink color of light through it. For nap time her room is darkened in the middle of the day, so dark that I can't read with the panels closed. At night her room is too dark to see anything in (when she needs to get out of bed she uses a flashlight). When they are open, I like that the panels take up little space and hang off to the sides with minimal fabric. I would buy these again for the price and overall look, they get the job done.
