Great lanterns!

I love these little lanterns!! I have 2 of these and the bigger Siege. I definitely recommend these lanterns. I live in Louisiana and we get hurricanes and even bad weather will knock out the power so lanterns are a must! The batteries also last a long time!

Not as bright as expected

I bought this for emergency kit. It is not as bright as I expected from Streamlight. I own several Streamlight flashlights and weapon lights and have always been impressed with their quality and great customer service. This light was a little disappointing.

Great to have on hand

Purchased for power outages during hurricane season and throughout the year. It's small but extremely bright. The fact that it uses AA batteries makes it easy to find replacements or stock up on saving money. At it's lowest setting, it lasts 37 hours which during power outages after storms is phenomenal. This is a must have in any residence no matter where you live.

Recently purchased this item for a camping trip and it has worked great without any issues. It’s very easy to use with the different brightness and colors when illuminated at night. I would highly recommend this product and will be purchasing a few more within the next week or two.

Streamlight lantern

This led lantern is awesome! It puts out more light than my Coleman propane lantern. Instead of extra fuel I only need to bring three extra batteries. When I got this item and tried it out I was very impressed. Something so small and light puts out an enormous amount of light and can be packed and used not just camping but backpacking. We also now have something reliable and easy to use in emergencies. This item was worth every penny.

Nice Small Lantern

This is a pretty small but robust lantern. It's about the size of a soda can. It puts out a good amount of light (enough for a tent or a small room). The color temperature is like a cool white light. I have it in my room for emergency lighting. Recommended.

Powerful little light

Great little product. Powerful little light. Great service as usual. Red light was a great bonus. Buying a couple more of these for overlanding and camping trips. My daughter thought it was just the coolest little lantern.

Very nice light, smaller than

Very nice light, smaller than I thought when purchased but puts off a lot of light and even tells you when your battery power is low. I like the OD color and seems well built unlike most lamps found today. The small size is a bonus because it makes it easy to carry and store, keep it in your go bag and it runs off easy to find AA batteries. I have purchased many Streamlights from LAPG thanks to there large selection.

Buy it!

This light delivers as advertised. It throws plenty of light and is lightweight and compact. I didn't look at the advertised size so I was surprised at how small it actually was. Regardless, I needed a small light to use in my storage unit for basic tasks at night and with the door closed to keep the winter wind out and this product filled the need! Highly recommend.

Great Back up Lantern

Feels like a quality product. Operation is intuitive, i.e. you do not need to read the instructions to figure out how to use it. When combined with the Energizer L91 AA battery with a 20 year shelf life it makes an excellent back up light. The battery condition (green, yellow, red, blinking red) LED in the on/mode/off push button is a great bonus. The thing that would move it from 4 start to 5 stars would be the inclusion of a boost mode switching power supply to get more energy out of the batteries, like in the Fenix CL32.

Very very rugged and useful backpacker or bike touring light

Very well made light. Looks like it would easily pass military specs and with 27 years active duty, I would know. Bought for very extended bicycle trips for a tent night light. Great feature with the red light at night in case you don't want to sacrifice night vision. Very well made good super light lantern.

Great Little Lantern

Bought these as a gift but I own two. Bought for camping but find them very use full around the house. On high they will fill a room with light which is nice when the power goes out. When camping generally use the lower light settings and have never had to change batteries, use Tenergy rechargeable. Best feature is remembers last light level mode and powers up at that level. Nothing worst than to wake up fellow campers by turning on a light on high.

Same quality as the larger models - just smaller!

We live in a rural community, and the power gets knocked out a couple of times each year, for one reason or another. I decided to buy the D-cell model of the Siege Lantern and see how it worked out. It worked out great! We used it in the living room. So, I thought I'd try a smaller model to use when running errands elsewhere in the house. We're very happy with the AAA model as well. These lights cost more than some others, but I don't mind the difference if I feel I can depend on them in a difficult situation.

Well built and functional

Bright and light weight. Well built. Dropped a few times by accident, with minimal scratch to the case. The C batteries last quite a long time. I actually like the use of replaceable batteries instead of having built in rechargeable ones. I can use the lamp with regular or rechargeable batteries (C or AA with adapter) and do not have to worry about the lamp not being charged when an emergency suddenly occurs.

Excellent product, exceptional quality

I Purchased this last week for my first camping trip of the year and I must say that I was very satisfied with this product. I am all about quality, and this product is too! I had looked at and considered other lanterns at Walmart, some almost as expensive, but did not feel, nor look like this product does. Also it is very compact, some of the other ones I looked at, albeit they had more lumens, were very large and bulky and the difference in brightness was not worth it, this lamp is extremely bright. I believe it is well worth the money, it just feels sturdy, and having 3 levels of brightness is great. I plan to hang this on my boat as well and use it a lamp, it will help light the deck in the evening. I also like the fact that you can bring it into your tent, boat, or wherever and not have to worry about it falling over and burning your sleeping bag or even starting a fire like other lanterns.

I See The Light!

The Streamlight Siege AA Compact is a dynamite little light source. Extremely well engineered and constructed. Made of tough materials. Light weight. Waterproof. Floats. Built-in hanger. Very long battery life. Bright LED light. Has red blinking emergency light. Can be used with optional magnetic base. Excellent product. A real hit with Boy Scouts and all campers, hunters, fishermen and outdoors enthusiasts.

Very pleased

I am very pleased with this lantern. What I like about this lantern is that it is very small. I don't want to be lugging around a lantern the size of the old coleman lanterns even if they do throw out more light. It distributes a decent amount of light (200 lumens) I did't want a lantern that used anything larger that AA batteries . It seems pretty solid. I will probably buy another one this size. By the way I had bought an energizer lantern 2 weeks before this one and had a few issues with it. At times the energizer would not turn on so I would have to remove the 4 batteries and then wait a minute and reinstall them to get the light on. This happened more than once so I gave it away.

Amazing for general lighting, not the best to look for stuff.

My boyfriend and I got this lantern for a road-trip camping thingy and it is amazing for general lighting on the site. When you're just hanging out in the woods without a fire, to set up the tent in the dark, or to cook for example. You don't have to hold it and the light is strong enough. It's actually brighter than expected.

For Changing a Tire at Night

I also bought the Coyote 340 lantern when I purchased the AA LED model. Tons of lanterns are available but I already own several other Streamlight products. I am 100% satisfied with all of them, so far. About three years ago I bought a Streamlight mini LED flashlight with all the characteristic settings; however, after several weeks of careful and occasional use, the output became erratic and finally it died. Long story short: Streamlight promptly exchanged it for a new unit. Their lifetime guarantee held true, although only a little over a month had gone by when the flashlight failed. I bought this AA LED lantern to keep inside my vehicle for the next time I change a tire at night. It's only happened once and although I have a traditional beam flashlight one needs a wide beam of light to keep track of the lug nuts, center the tire on the lug bolts, watch that the jack remains stable, and to have BOTH hands FREE. The AA LED lantern is perfect; it illuminates the tire and work area well and allows the use of BOTH hands (should I need it for a flat tire at night). If not, it takes up little room in the glove compartment and backs up the flashlight. It's dark at night in rural north Texas.
