Reviews

This came well packaged, and was easy to assemble so long as you read the instructions carefully! The material was much stronger and nicer than I expected for the cost. The Color is a nice white wash and not cheap looking. All in all I’m very happy with this bed! Though I was missing 1 locking screw for the drawer the dowels were strong enough that I don’t think it will be an issue:

Looked cute but arrived damaged in several places (the material is very inexpensive pressed wood) and missing correct hardware. We were told to bring it to a store repackaged in order to get the refund, which was a huge pain as it was very heavy and in long/large boxes. While we didn't expect "top of the line" ordering from here, it was far worse than we hoped. It's priced cheap because it is very, very, cheap.

decent bed horrible drawers

the bed itself is great, perfect first bed for a toddler. the drawers however are poorly made. the face of the drawers are always coming off despite consistently having to apply wood glue to get them to stay put. I would not buy this again.

Great functionality and customer service

I purchased the Summer Breeze collection in. Blueberry 3 years ago. It took a few hours to built so be prepared. However the furniture has been perfect. Only issue we had was paint coming off on the dresser. I reached out to customer service and they sent a replacement piece. The 5 year warranty is great! No extra fees. I recommend SouthShore and give a shout out to their customer service. I just also bough the Avilla collection. Looks great and will provide review once we have it longer.

Save yourself a headache

As I read the reviews, I thought this bed would be a good fit for me as I have only 120 pounds and in my late teens. However a week into having it the parts that held the bed together began to break. And the place where my feet go fell apart. The drawers no longer stay in because of the low quality the bed is. The instructions were vague and Took to long to put the bed together for the outcome that it produced. Not to mention the beige wood parts that come with the bed to hold it together broke in half so the bed is literally falling apart. Would never buy again.

I would not buy this product again

It came completely unassembled, but the worst part was the instructions. The labels on the bags of hardware were in a different language and the instructions were very unclear. I tried watching videos on youtube but, unpacking and item checking were up close and clear, but when it came time to assemble, they were far away with backs turned and you couldn't see what hardware you were using. Very frustrating. I'm selling the bed...unassembled for half the price. Simply cause the packaging all got torn up and i wouldn't know how to package it to send it back.

BUYER BEWARE

Bought this bed in April. Put it together after buying the extra screws not shipped with bed in July. Set up in my granddaughters bedroom. The particle board broke within a weeks time. I purchased the protection plan. After spending the morning on the phone and web, the upshot is take a picture after assembly and a picture of failure otherwise your claim will not be covered. Something they don't tell you when you buy warranty. Cheaply made and matches the customer service received. BUYER BEWARE!!

Amazing bed for a kid

I really loved the color, my son was happy to see it was a navy blue bed. The only down side is it did come chip on one of the drawers from the inside. It causes the drawer to get stuck. I did not return it because I was pretty much done assembling the bed. I was not going to take it down. Its extremely heavy as well, had to open the box outside where the fed ex left it, by my garage. Oh and it took longer to arrive because shipment details had to be verified, I had bought two beds both had shipping label errors. My son loves it and thats all that matters. The chipped drawer makes it hard to close at times but my don lifts a bit and able to close.

The included assembly hardware was way off. We were missing several pieces and had a lot of random pieces left over. The instructions were very difficult to understand. They were similar to what you find with IKEA but the diagrams were difficult to understand. With the help of a bottle of Gorilla Glue We were able to put the bed together in about four hours. If I could have, I would have thrown the entire lot back at Home Depot and driven away.

Meh

I bought this bed as a quick fix to my daughter's no bed issue, and new I'd buy one in about two years. I bought one 4 months later, not only were the drawers ridiculous to put in but they broke very fast, so while we had a drawer feature, everything was on the floor underneath the bed instead of in the drawers. I knew this wood was not the highest quality but I figured it would be durable for a bit, boy was I wrong.. Mind you I did buy this in 2014 so my review is coming quite late but considering the specs seems the same and the wood is the same, I really don't suggest buying.. this is the second piece I bought from this collection to try and give her a space that felt a bit older when we first moved. One of the drawers didn't fit properly which is the same issue had with the matching nightstands, not one but both of them. The quality simply just isn't good, it chips VERY easily so I had to revert to picking up the middle planks everytime I wanted to move it so we didn't end up with more chips in it. The little drawer inserts are cardboard if I'm not mistaken and don't hold more than say 15 or so pounds without falling out. The mechanisms for the drawers are also not good quality and break very easily. Safe to say the months later I bought a bed of solid wood about 2ish hundred more and we still have it today.

One of my close friends recommended this website to me. After I slept one on of Wayfair's mattresses I knew I had to get one for myself and why not a new bed frame while I'm here, right?

Do not waste your money!!

This is really bad. I bought two beds and the matching night stands for each of my kids rooms. They both feel apart each bed and the nightstands!! The Drawers came out and broke, and are completely unusable, the wood is particle board and is so thin and it breaks instantly really. The bottom that is supposed to support the mattress is also particle board and was broken out of the box my husband had to make something to make it work and hold. I am going to have to buy something else for each room. I wish I listened to other reviews and never bought these cause they were expensive and I wasted so much money!!

Nice storage bed for less

I have been looking for a sturdy, reasonably priced storage bed for a while now. I was skeptical at first about purchasing this product online but I am so glad I did.

Pros: Very easy assembly - however the drawer assembly slides are a little tricky from the picture instructions. Look on the pieces for the stamped DL DR (drawer Left Drawer Right), and the CL CR (bed frame Left and right side). The instruction picture is "wrong/confusing" Put the Left on the left side and the right on the right side and you should be fine. All the wood pieces are marked, and with exception of the drawer slides, very easy to follow! It is a lot of pieces, but if you are organized and systematic it goes together very quickly!. The drawers slide easily and the bed is very sturdy.

Nope. Bed and dresser falling apart 6 months in.

I bought this bed, headboard, and matching dresser to complete my son’s nursery/room. Within 2 months the dresser drawers cane apart and within 6 months two of the three drawers on the bed fell apart. We have use of 3 of 7 drawers between the two pieces. Junk all the way.

TERRIBLE DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

I bought 4 of these in March 2017 as well as 4 beds, 4 dressers and 4 headboards, spending well over 3 thousand dollars. Within the first month 2 beds were falling apart, 3 of the night stands you couldn't use as there was something wrong with the drawers and the 4th one was delivered broken and 1 dresser was falling apart. Now 6 months later the only things not broken are the headboard, 3 of the night stands are literally in pieces. This is not a case of rambunctious children as my kids are very young and soley sleep on the beds and the night stands were just for decoration basically, this is a case of seriously awful products I wish I never spent my money on. I might as well have taken then 3 thousand dollars and threw it in the garbage. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in how much money I spent just to be left with nothing. I have pictures but I can only upload 3.

Save your hair, and your nerves!!!

Unless you enjoy pulling your hair out and losing your last nerve to frustration, not to mention losing more time than is necessary, then you should seriously re-consider purchasing this bed -- unless you get someone else to assemble it for you, that is! I have had much experience over the years assembling toys, hot wheels, furniture, and other items, (and built musical instruments for a living) and this by far was the most frustrating experience I've had. Why? The assembly manual (if I could stoop to calling it a manual) is not only confusing, it's simply WRONG in several places. The drawer rails assembly instructions are the worst example... in the first step it instructs you to affix the rails in a certain position, then several steps later it shows the rails in the opposite position. Not until you try to slide the drawers in do you realize that they had you putting in the rails incorrectly!!! I had to take half the bed apart (after thinking I was almost done) just to reverse the position of the rails on bed frame!!! Talk about frustrating. But, just as frustrating is that there is no instruction on how to slide the drawers into place. The tolerance between the bed frame openings and the drawers is so tight that a boatload of patience is required to get the drawer rails to slide into the bed frame rails. I would NOT recommend this product to any parent, grandparent, or friend who wants to keep what little bit of sanity they might still possess!!!

You get what you pay for...

If you're looking for laminated particle board & MDF furniture, look no further. If you want something that will last a while, look elsewhere. While contemplating purchasing these beds, we read the reviews and had high hopes. But, after beginning assembly, we began to wonder if we'd made a mistake buying these.
