This gazebo is great!! It came in a lot of pieces but was well packaged and organized. My husband and his friend were able to put it together in about 4.5 hours. They did use their own tools (vs. the tools that came with it to use) as it would have taken MUCH longer to put together. We are very happy with the size, look and quality.

Rust Magnet

If you live in a coastal environment- this is a one year at best life product. We started seeing corrosion and rust after 6 months- then the roof began coming apart in pieces. There is no way this would withstand stronger than 40mph winds- ours has had sections blow off and the plexi sections flew into our neighbors yard, we took great lengths to secure it to the ground and installed stone footers around each post- now we have a frame and partial roof that are hard set into our backyard scape. Very disappointed as we usually live their products. For $1900 this was an epic fail! I included the initial photos of when we installed it- after such a short time it is junk!! Replacement roof- don’t count on it!

The gazebo is beautiful and sturdy and everything you’d expect, but the instructions are the most ridiculously stupid instructions I’ve ever seen. Took hours longer than it should have to assemble. Having to guess what is next only to have to go back and disassemble something because the stupid instructions weren’t clear on what to do or which way this is or what bolt you use here. I hope this gazebo last decades because I don’t want to ever have the experience of assembling a sunjoy product again. When nearly every review on Wayfair mentions how horrible the instructions are, maybe that should be an indication with Sunjoy to print instructions that are clear? Whoever is in charge of the instructions should be fired!!

This gazebo is great. We initially purchased a smaller one of lesser quality and it broke within a few days so we returned it. This gazebo is sturdy, with high quality materials including the bolts and screws! My boyfriend was able to build almost all of it by himself, with some help from me here and there holding things. The roof is where he needed the most help so his friend came over and assisted. Built in about 2-3 days passively so probably could be built in a few hours with many people. It also can be bolted down which is great. Great price point and overall loving this!

Extremely pleased with this Gazebo. All parts present and accounted for and assembled without much confusion. My contractor was very impressed with the quality and ease of assembly. Mosquito netting and curtain were a breeze to instal (instal the outside curtain before the inside rail netting and note that you want 6 hooks on the short side and 7 hooks on the long side per rail)

Fantastic. Love how it looks. Took some hours to assemble. Check and recheck the wood pieces that you are choosing (they aren't labeled) and they are pre drilled... and even holes started on where the screw will be going into. Looks great! Two people recommended to assemble. Power tools recommended. Take your time. :)

Love the gazebo! Solid and heavy duty. Install isn’t too difficult. All of the pieces are labeled either with a sticker or with ink at the ends of the boards. 25 steps to install. Need at least two people for steps 7 and 13. There aren’t many written directions (mainly pictures). Here’s what I would add to the directions: On step 6, pay close attention to the two predrilled holes that are on two of the four faces of the 4x4 posts (part 08). They should be facing outside. Look ahead to step 8 and you will see what the purpose is in the future (holes are for parts 10 and part 11). In step 6, keep bolts H4 and H10 loose because that’s going to give you the wiggle room to connect the remaining beams (parts 03/04) in step 7. Otherwise, the boards (parts 03/04) likely won’t align into the appropriate holes. Tighten bolts H4 and H10 from step 6 after completing step 7.

Very sturdy, gorgeous look and easy to assemble.

My husband and 14 year old built this one day while I was out. Very easy to assemble. It’s a beautiful design, very heavy and strong. Definitely high quality and worth the money!! After looking at 4 other hardware stores, this was the best quality. My fear was with wood, the 6x6 would split. Sometimes wood slits are pretty deep. But this is a 4x4 sister rd with 1x6 on each side. So if it does start to split , it will only be a 1” think max. But wood is very good quality so no worries I don’t think. One bad thing was curtains and netting was hard to find. Only place I could get them was online and they were very pricy. We don’t use them enough. I’d save your money and not bother getting them.

I was overwhelmed when we opened the box. I should of known better than to purchase something showing the item at night. It was a million pieces and not nearly as beefy of a gazebo as I thought. The pieces are thin, and the wood is not treated. We were unable to attempt putting it together for weeks, thus it is too late to return the item. We will not put this one up. I don't think it would last more than a couple of years outside. A bad purchase for sure!

Love our Sunjoy in Arizona sun.

This is a very good looking backyard addition. The quality is top notch. It provides plenty of shade in our Arizona sun. The only thing I noticed is the heat of the sun tends to warp the PC panels when it gets hot. Once it cools back down, the plastic panels relax and go back to their original shape. I'd suggest inserting screws every 6 inches along the bottom of each plastic panel and it won't change shape. The rest of the structure is metal and wood so there isn't a problem. I would also put a coat of varnish or tongue oil on the 4 wooden beams which are the 4 corners. If not, the wood will discolor over time .

Solid and well-designed

I am very impressed at how easily this went together. It took about 8 hours by myself, having someone help me only twice just to hold one side when attaching the other. I highly recommend you take the time (about an hour) to completely unpack and remove all the items from their plastic wrapping. It's not really difficult to assemble, but it does take a lot of time. 2 a-frame ladders is a bonus, and a hex bit for your drill will save you time since the last 175 screws (for the roof panels and supports) can be power drilled. Another installation tip would be to not fully tighten the beams until after you layer them together. I used glue in-between the beams, secured them with the screws provided, then tightened all the bolts. The finished product looks great and I would recommend this to anyone.

Love our Gazebo!

We are thrilled with this gazebo! It is stylish and solid. Wasn't sure about the roofline- non- 2 tier'd, but I think come winter we are going to be glad not to have the extra air pouring down into the living space. We ordered Sunjoy curtains that fit this unit perfectly so it will truly be a 4- season space. A couple of part naming errors in the instructions, but the biggest help in putting it together was laying out all of the parts in 27 different areas and starting to build after that. Took about 5 hours to separate all the parts and associated screws, etc, but once we did, took about 6 hours to finish (with 2 guys). Several extra bolts/washers etc. included, and that was really great.

Very Nice Gazebo

Overall, This is a very nice gazebo that seems very sturdy and should last a long time. The quality of the parts and hardware provided were pretty good and I did not have issues with it. It looks great and was exactly what I was expecting. After completion, I used concrete anchors in the four corners and added a pair of 120 inch coolaroo roll down shades screwed into the wood. To me, one of the benefits of a wood structure vs. a metal is structure is that it is easier to add hooks or other accessories.

Excellent value, note that assembly is a big job

The gazebo was shipped to me via a trucking company on a single pallet. The shipping was efficient, the driver was friendly and it arrived quickly.

Sharing tips.

Avoid following the directions. The instructions mention measure the diagonal to check for square and that is correct .All bolt holes in the roof frame face up .All parts in the roof frame fit with ease ,if not ,you are matching up the wrong holes. The top two holes in the braces need t nuts for installation so remember to install all 16 while assembling the horizonal beams .Bought this to keep me home during the pandemic .Mission accomplished..one old guy can do it but weeks are added because you need to build props to hold one end while bolting the other .Only gave it four stars because of missing parts. Called support for a base cover but that never came .Had a good supply of metric bolts on hand from previous projects .Replaced all of the supplied screws with 1 and 7/8 inch SS deck screws. The screws that came with it were cheap and too small for the oversized predrilled holes. Finished product turned out great but highly recommend having one helper and good tools. The tools that are supplied ,,toss them.

All parts acounted for. You can build it with one person if you have 2 ladders otherwise at least 2 people are required for some of the roofing assembly. Instructions are pretty simple to understand with only pictures & labels to follow along with. All wood is labeled. All parts are labbled & you just match the photos to the pieces. The cedar planks & beams smell amazing. The washers are on the cheap side & dig into the wood if you overtighten so be careful. Cant wait to sit under this in a rain storm. Has dual curtain/fly netting rails built inside of the unit. It has a ceiling hook for lights or flowers & a translucent skylight that lets some light in during the day. Use some thread locker for the metal roof beams so they dont come loose from constant wind. Way easier & way cheaper than building from scratch or hiring a contractor. You can laquer the wood to keep it protected & last even longer.
