It is a good looking product, but is difficult to clean. Mold grows within the plastic cap and the joints where the front support bars align with the frame have begun to rust. Replacement requires new tile on wall.

A very reliable & sturdy product

It was an excellent product & folds up so there’s room enough to get in & out of the shower more easily. This product was for my mother who is 73 years old.

Using thr fold-up function of the bench makes the shower seem much larger. I purched the 20 inch wide bench. This is a good size for adults.

This is a really nice shower seat. It is attractive, functional, strong and operates smoothly. The key is in the preparation for installation and the actual installation. Since we performed a demo down to the studs and subfloor, we had the opportunity to install super heavy duty blocking. We installed doubled and stacked 2 x 12's. Cement backer board was installed next, followed by the porcelain tile. Using the supplied template and careful drilling through the tile, extra long SS screws firmly anchored the seat to the wall. I would not even remotely consider using plastic wall anchors or any other types of anchors. For maximum strength, it must by attached to proper blocking.

Husband installed this for me in a small stall shower. Im a big lady (230) and its held up well. Over time the Teak has gotten lighter which is normal. If it gets soap residue I just scrub it lightly with a soft scrub brush. I keep the chair in the down position but it folds up easily.

I got this seat to replace an aging free standing seat that was starting to look pretty ratty. The new one is attractive and solid and gives me some needed extra inches in a small shower stall. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the (almost non-existant) instructions. I don't bend as easily as I used to and holding it in place while drilling was difficult for me. A drill hole template would have cut the installation time by 75%.
