This is a very fine bookshelf. Heavy duty, easy to assemble and fits nicely with my office.

Excellent item

Very good value for price. Looks like much more expensive bookcase. Easy to assemble which took around 15 minutes. I used my power screwdriver which sped up the process.

Bookshelf

The bookshelf is very sturdy. Easy to put together and the color is beautiful. It is a rich cherry color and matches my cherry bedroom set in my extra bedroom perfect. It shipped sooner than expected. Very pleased with my purchase

Cheap low quality but not that bad

You get what you pay for in this price range. Firstly, none of this bookcase is made of solid wood, not even the molding, as advertised. The "real wood" veneer is less than a millimeter thick. That being said, it's still pretty weighty and looks like it would indeed hold 70lbs as described. Quality control is an issue here. I purchased 2 of these bookcases to go next to each other. One bookcase had scuffs all along the back panelling (pictured). The front aprons did not sit flush against the frame in both units (one worse than the other, pictured) due to incorrect placement of the wooden blocks used to fix the apron onto the frame. Nothing a bit of sanding and some wood glue couldn't fix, but frustrating nonetheless. They're also a bit wobbly (again, quality control, frames not perfectly level when assembled, so definitely use the wall brace that it comes with and/or put some heavy stuff on the bottom shelf. The back panelling is wood veneer, which is better than the junky cardboard stuff that comes with most flat-pack shelving in this price range. However it comes held together with ugly brown packing tape on the back, which is difficult to remove after the panelling is screwed in place. Overall, I would recommend skipping these shelves and instead spending the extra money for real solid wood furniture. I would have returned these, but had already put the effort into assembling one unit and couldn't be bothered to disassemble and haul back to a UPS store. They're not too terrible, work well in my space, and look okay from a distance (just don't get too close) Less

Great small bookcase for the price

Looks nice and modern but goes with traditional or transitional decor, too. The quality isn't bad for the price. It's not a focal point for my den, but it's a practical piece of furniture that serves it's purpose.

Arrived on time. Not too difficult to assemble, and appear to be quite sturdy.

Quality Bookshelf

After being built, I would give it a five star. Overall, for the price, it is worth the purchase. I am handy and able to handle these types of products if there is missing hardware or instructions not being clear for the assembly. The assembly instructions were okay. The only problem for a novice was there were missing pilot holes which required the use of drill. Otherwise, with problems of supply chain and perfect quality, I do recommend this bookshelf.

sturdy and easy to assemble

Bookcase is very sturdy and it looks good for the price. It was easily assembled by one person. I purchased this together with MI7236 and the two pieces match well.

The right color for our room. The pieces have small gaps when put together.
