I liked the finish color as well as the overall look. The circular spindles are similar to authentic wood but the shelves are indicative of cheap manufactured wood that is easily breakable. Three side pieces arrived damaged. It wasn't a particularly expensive bookcase so it's not a huge deal. The Wayfair rep offered a small refund which was appreciated.

I've never been this unhappy with a Wayfair product before! This includes the metal lamp that came made from some plastic-like material (still looked beautiful). The entire shelf is poorly made and the shelves are cheap thin plywood, the color is completely different from what is shown in the picture (upsetting as it was the most expensive option/color), and there is a huge gash in one of the spindle rises, so all-in-all, not worth the price or delay time for delivery. I suggest saving your money and getting one of the nicer shelves. I will have to live with it, as it will be a nightmare to unscrew and repack! I think I will put it in the closet or garage, but most definitely not my home office! Really disappointed --changes my whole outlook on Wayfiar!

Sturdy and tall. Color slightly off and shelves are thinner than expected. One shelf corner split and coming apart when box was opened. Overall nice piece besides the defect. No damage to box so I wonder if shelf was shipped broken.

Worth the money

We bought 2 sets of these shelves. They are great for a few reasons. They're lightweight but sturdy, easy to assemble (no tools necessary), and are nice pieces that look great in many different types of decorating styles. The issue is that the second shelf was missing 4 legs. We are trying to finish our house that we just moved in to. So. Rather than wait for whatever solution customer service offered... we took one shelf from the one missing legs and added that shelf to the completed one. Now it looks like we intentionally have a very tall shelf and an end table height... on purpose. Essentially one is TWO shelves taller than the other. It looks better than if they were only one shelf different. We'll see if we can get BBB to send another 4 legs and even them out at that point. We'll give an update after we know the outcome. That's the only reason we didn't give 5 stars.

just the right fit and beautitul

Nice shelf, good quality and blends well with my home. Just the right size for a small living area and just the right size for all of my cute collectibles.

While it is solid wood as described, it is very thin wood. One of the shelves had to be glued back together. If I had paid full price for this bookcase I would have been devastated, but for the sale price it is okay. All in all, I'm glad I made the purchase.

I had to repair one damaged shelf and repaint some spots. The underneath of the 2 nd from top shelf isn't painted and can be seen as unfinished. That said the style and size was what I was looking for.

Nice but not great

Items arrived quickly and all parts are included. Unfortunately, the paint job is lacking plus two of the shelves are coming apart. We used wood glue and clamps to put back together and looks fine. Sadly not satisfied with quality.

Not Washed Natural Pine....painted a muddy brown

Good news - arrived quickly and easy to assemble. Bad news...it does NOT look like washed Natural Pine which is what we wanted. It looks like it is painted a muddy brown. Very disappointing.

Sturdy and Stylish

This shelf was very easy to assemble (took me less than 15 minutes). It is very sturdy and solid, not to mention stylish. I sometimes never know what to expect from just looking at the photos of the product, but this shelf far exceeded my expectations. I would purchase again.

5-Tier Bookcase

Per all of the other postings regarding the odd color finish, that is accurate, it's not terrible, but does have an odd tone. The design/style is very nice, the materials are sufficient, seems sturdy. Easy to assemble by one person, took about 15 minutes. I like to refinish furniture so the color wasn't a problem for me.

The bookcase came quickly, was super easy to assemble , and is exactly what I wanted size-wise. Minus a star because of the the finish color. Does not have any of the white touches that are shown in the product picture. Mostly just taupe color, darker than I expected. Keeping it because it fits the space perfectly, but not very pleased with the color.

I ordered the Natural Washed Pine and instead received this weird dark brownish/purplish painted thing. I don't even see this color listed so I don't know if this was a mistake or if the pictures of the washed pine are doctored or what. Some of the other reviews said they got a weird color too so I suspect this might actually be what they consider "Natural Washed Pine". Whatever the heck it is, it is UGLY and not anything like the picture. Wayfair issued a refund which is great, but I still don't have a bookcase. Such a disappointment.
