Very pleased with Tramontina cookware

I'm thoroughly enjoying my new Tramontina cookware. I replaced my beloved 50-year-old Revere Ware because it didn't work well with my new glass top stove. I blamed the stove until my son told me I needed new cookware. He was right! I chose Tramontina and have no regrets. A big concern I had was that the first brand I considered was too heavy and unwieldy. I'm very pleased that my Tramontina pots and pans are well-balanced and easy to handle. Also, I don't know why they recommend hand-washing. I've been putting mine in the dishwasher and they still look great.

I got this pan well in advance of getting new kitchen appliances, very high-end kitchen appliances at that. Even on heat closer to "low" than to "medium", a hot spot forms and somehow leaves a residue on the glass cooktop. I have used the pan twice and this happened both times. The price is good, but the product just didn't deliver for me.

[Rewarded Review] Discoloration

The instructions say that to boil only use low to medium heat. That means you have to wait much longer than I want to in order to begin cooking. The instructions also say that cooking at a higher heat could cause discoloration...and it does. For the money, I would like a pot that heats faster and does not discolor.

[Rewarded Review] Just buy it

Just buy it. Dishwasher safe, metal utensils safe, plus it’s almost impossible to jack this thing up. Hit it with some bar keeps friend and stick in the dishwasher.

Nice pan. Don't waste your money on All Clad. These are at least as good at half the price. They all get dings very easily but at least these don't cost over $100 per pan. Haven't even used this pan yet and it has a dent.

Just received and quality seems great

Great extra pot to augment our All Clad collection. Just received it, so only used it once, but comparable to All Clad. Only minus would be the lid does fit quite as snugly as the 2 qt All Clad we have, but good enough, especially for the price

I needed a little bit bigger pot and this one really fit the bill. Its just a bit bigger that the 2 qt I have. Makes it easier to add that extra person to the dinner table. Just add that extra can of veggies it will all fit.

Love this Pan!

I have always wanted a really good quality cooking set. Last year I purchased a complete set of these pans to go along with my newly remolded kitchen. They are a beautiful addition and work wonderfully. I use these pans nearly everyday, and wanted to supplement my set with an additional 3 quart pan - which is a super handy size in the kitchen. I was truly delighted to find out that I could order just this one extra pan, as opposed to another entire set. Perfect! I love it!

Many years ago, I started using stainless tri-ply clad sauce pans and never looked back. The Tramontina line is a solid design and will last forever. If you are new to stainless steel, you may want to stay away from the frying pans, they can be a pain. But sauce pans are the heat!

[Rewarded Review] Love it!

Well-made! You can really feel the heft of the pan but somehow it's easy to move around based on what you need. The rounded corners really make a difference so you can easily get everything.

[Rewarded Review] So happy with my purchase

This is a great saucepan. You only need use it on low to medium heat but I can tell it heats up the contents better than anything I've ever used before. This is my first attempt at a SS product so I did my research prior to buying. Only thing I have a minor complaint about is the handle on the lid gets hot enough to warrant a hot pad, but still I wouldn't let that stop me from recommending this to everyone who's looking for a great little sauce pan.

Very comparable to my AllClad

If you don't want to spend for AllClad… BUY THIS. It’s similar in weight, depth, finish, and overall performance — at a fraction of the price. I use both brands interchangeably and if blindfolded I would not know the difference.

Pan good, lid damaged, Customer service bad

Saucepan is good. The edge of the lid is slightly dented, probably does not affect functionality but looks damaged. Contacted customer service, sent numerous photos, she insisted it was intended to be that way, then stopped responding. Will keep the pan but will not purchase from this brand in the future due to the poor customer service.

We wish the pans were heavier built on the base. The pans seem to be good quality built, but we are finding it a little hard to regulate the heat settings properly on our electric smooth top range. We are not accustomed to having to adjust the heat as often as we do with the Tramontina pans. We do like the appearance of the pans and they set level on the range top.

Outstanding value for the high end quality and performance

I looked at a lot of pots and pans in every price range and these Tramontina Gourmet sauce pans won over my choice. They're very well made, durable, heavy duty, and the long handle is a fantastic design. I bought this 1.5 qt pan specifically to cook rice in and for making gravies. I'm more than happy with how well my rice cooks in this pan, I'm downright delighted. I'll be replacing all of my old pans with Tramontina over the next few months.

Excellent Sauce Pan!

Excellent sauce pan. Works perfectly with induction cooktop. Heats up fast and evenly. Seems well made and looks great. Have purchased the matching 3 Qt sauce pan and 5 Qt dutch ovens. Both have the same quality and usage. Definitely recommended.

Love This Pot

I bought this pot to replace a Made In pot that was completely ruined by something overcooking. Okay I burned the beans. But I have NEVER had to toss a pot or pan because of that. I could not get it clean after MONTHS of trying. I have only used my new sauce pan a few times as it is small, but so far I absolutely love it. It heats evenly, cleans easily and looks beautiful. So very pleased that I will plan on buying more at some point.

I got this in the 1.5 qt. size and you can see what a standard 15.5 oz can of food looks like in there for scale. I've had this 3 years now and can say Tramontina's tri-ply is really good quality. I'm not sure why they don't seem to get as much attention as brands like Calphalon, but they should. I also have a Tramontina 8" tri-ply skillet and it performs really well, too. The small size is great for little jobs, handle never gets hot, all-metal lid is very sturdy.... definitely recommend!

Stainless is a different ballgame from non-stick.

After many years (and many $) of replacing my non-stick pans after only 2-3 years of careful use, I am transitioning to stainless. It is at the point now where no matter what you find or how much you pay, all those Chinese non-stick pans are the same. Aluminum is not a good material to cook with. My trusty stainless pressure cooker has lasted almost 20 years with no end in sight. Yes, it requires more effort to clean - but I can use scrubbers and even Barkeepers Friend without fear of damage. In the end stainless costs less, and it is what the professionals use.

Superior Cooking Ability

This sauce pan is excellent. The bottom is flat, which is important on an electric stove for even heating. It also has great heat retention. I've used other pots and pans by the same manufacturer for several years and always found these things to be true, even with prolonged use. All have been extremely durable.
