This product is so cute, HOWEVER, it completely stained my carpet. See the attached photos to see the backing of the rug and then what it did to the carpet. It has not been in direct sunlight, or anything like that, but when we rolled the rug up to move rooms recently and we discovered the giant rectangle stain, we were beyond disappointed. Another negative to this rug, is that it does shed and the hairs get on your clothes.

Really loved this rug but unfortunately it didn’t look great in my space. It originally came in 3 colors but due to popularity it sold out so fast. Will keep an eye out for the silver option and maybe in a larger size - ten feet. 8 feet runs an inch or two smaller.

The color in the pictures are not truly representative of the carpet. It's almost entirely white. Could have just been my specific carpet as I'm sure they are not all exactly the same. I did return it but only because the color was not what I needed. That said for the price of the carpet I'm not sure the quality of the leather/cowhide is up to par. I'm not convinced it would have been durable. I will say the return process is very easy and efficient.

Love this rug. Exactly what we wanted for our space. Issues - it came with one side totally frayed and cut up. I’m a sewer, so I spent many hours fixing it. The glue that helps hold the pieces in place also shows through as some dark spots. Not enough that someone would notice, only the owner. Overall, I love it.

The smell is borderline unbearable. A separate reviewer described it as "raw carcass," which couldn't be more accurate. After 30 days of airing out and using carpet deodorizer, the smell is still there. Would give a 3.5 based on appearance because it looks nice enough, but I agree with other reviewers that there are glue-like residue marks on it. I actually attempted to return, but as I was 2 days late, Wayfair wouldn't make an exception but instead offered their "profuse apologies." That (lack of) customer service, paired with the stench, earned a 2. If you have reservations due to smell, send it back before you're out of time. The smell will not dissipate entirely.

I will say the rug is beautiful and thick and is surprisingly durable. I originally bought it for the hall but it didn’t look right so I’ve been using it in the kitchen where it gives off a fresh new look! However, it sheds a lot of white hairs and after almost 1 year of owning, it still sheds a lot. I find little white hairs all over our furniture as if I have a white haired pet!! You can also see that so many fibers are falling out that it’s exposing some of the padding below, resulting in a brown aesthetic not white. I own other cowhides and they do not shed at all. I would not recommend this product.

This was an extravagant purchase. Even at a sale price, costly. But sooo worth it. Because if the colour I chose (gorgeous) it needs frequent vacuuming but vacuums easily. Has a non slip backing already. It’s stunning, highly recommend

This rug is nice and compliments my kitchen well. It's accurate to the pictured and description. I really wanted my kitchen tiles that chevron pattern, but I had to settle for the rug that pattern instead. Definitely measure your space. I got the 4 X 6, the 2'6 X 8 runner would've been too long.

this rug is stunning. gorgeous texture and stitching. beautifully designed. it does have a tendency to curl up but i’m hoping that by weighting the edges, it will eventually settle. bought a larger size because i was so impressed...highly recommend

This is a nice hide rug and looks exactly like the photos. It looks great in my den. Giving it 2 stars because it arrived FILTHY. Absolutely filthy. There were strange brownblack sticky spots covering half the rug. See photos. Decided not to return because after several hours of gently scrubbing with a damp cloth, I got most of it out. Kinda disappointing for a 250 4x6 rug. But it looks nice. I put a rug pad underneath it.

Either the quality of this item has gone downhill recently or many of these reviews are fake. The first rug I received was badly creased so I contacted Wayfair’s customer service and they suggested reverse rolling the rug and/or placing heavy objects on it. After a couple of weeks of trying the creases persisted so Wayfair sent a replacement that arrived in 2 days. However the replacement rug was in even worse condition: it was less creased than the first but had black glue marks all over one side and the underside is fraying badly along the opposite edge after only a couple of months. I contacted Wayfair again to request a refund or store credit as the quality control on this item is clearly lacking and I simply don’t trust that a third rug will be any better than the first 2. After following up for a month I am yet to hear back. I now need to decide whether I live with a rug that looks cheap and nasty, or consider the ~$700 a sunk cost and find a different option.

I am in love with this rug!!! The only complaint I have is that I didn’t order it sooner… I have been looking at these cowhide rugs for a long time and was nervous about color, smell, curling edges etc. and the rug could not be more perfect. It’s the perfect shade of creamy off-white with very, very subtle hints of gray and very soft to touch with NO smell. If you are looking for a rug with cream tones this one is for you. I just received it today, rolled it out and it is immediately flat. It has a nice felt back in as well but no cushion so if you’re looking for that make sure to get a rug pad.

This is an eye-catcher! I love the pattern and texture. We keep it in a living room without much foot traffic, I'm not sure how it would wear with a lot of dirty shoe traffic. Since it's basically a strip of leather, plan on many months to work out the kinks from being rolled up (ie, storage and delivery). The creases are severe and take a long time to work out, probably less time in a room with more foot traffic.

Beautiful Rug

We needed something light to offset all of the dark decor in our lobby and this rug was perfect. It added just the right amount of texture and we were pleasantly surprised with the color variance.
