This rug is certainly unique. Walking over it with bare feet you feel the actual hide of the animal. It is cool. I did place the green one in a sunny room and I am surprised at how fast it faded.

Very nice ! real leather, cowhide with the fur still on. the stud trim makes a nice touch. Felt backing as well so soft and easy to move.

We ordered this rug for our living room. We ordered the 8x11 in the dark blue. The size was perfect. This rug is made of quality material. Speaking directly about the dark blue color or "ink" color, it was a little disappointing, mainly because it was not as dark as the color indicated it would. Additionally, it there was more variation in color between the squares than I would have cared to have. Some squares even presented with a purple hue. We have no had the rug for about 8 months. After some normal wear it showing some wear in certain areas and the purple hue is more pronounced, thus creating additional deviation from our tuscan color scheme. For this reason, I would not purchase this rug again. This may not be an issue with the other colors of this rug. Just my two cents with the ink color of this rug.

Worth the Price

Rug is exactly as described. The leather is cowhide, so that there is a slight sheen depending upon the light. The underside of the rug is lined in a tightly woven felt. The rug is flat and durable. I love the variation in reds. The double studded border is very smart. Very high quality. This rug is worth the price. I would purchase it again.
