Short Term - Great Bed

It's only been a short time since I bought the bed but I never realized how lightly I was sleeping until I wasn't sleeping lightly. I can't speak to the long-term but for the first 30 days, it has been completely worth the expense. I'm a side sleeper so I was told that the plush was good for that, but with the new comfort level, I seem to sleep on my back more now than previously. I have had Sleep Number and foam beds in the past but seems my older body prefers an innerspring mattress. The guys who did the delivery were kind and quick - in and out in less than 15 minutes. I chose this bed over a purchase at another mattress store because the delivered price was about $1,000 lower, even with the $150 delivery fee. I am not a fan of buying expensive things online but this time it has worked out well.

When they say Extra firm, they mean it

Only had this bed for a month, but the quality of the design is outstanding. There are no soft points so you feel that extra firmness. Note to some. Those with certain ailments, because there is no give, this may not be the mattress for you. With my back issues, I prefer an extra firm bed, cause when its too soft, my nerve or disc can easily go out of alignment when sleeping. This bed has provide the best sleep I've had in years.. Can highly recommend and even with the mobile bedframes no issues. Just again, be careful on the firmness cause when they mean extra firm, it definitely is extra firm.

Blue Lagoon Plush Pillowtop - King size

I’ve been sleeping on my mattress for about 3 weeks and it already has a big sag in the middle. I’m only 130 pounds and don’t feel like this should be happening already. I’m afraid to think of how bad the mattress will be later on. I have the Blue Lagoon Plush Pillowtop. It was very comfortable when I first got it but the sagging is starting to get uncomfortable. I called customer service to see what I needed to do and she automatically set up an exchange for the same thing while on the phone. I’m worried that if the next one comes in and is uncomfortable, that I won’t be able to do a return or exchange because they will say I have already done an exchange for my trial period. She said I will still be able to do a comfort exchange but I have a bad feeling I will be charged. I don’t think this should count as an exchange if the mattress was defective not to mention she just automatically processed it while I was explaining my situation and said it was done and I couldn’t cancel the delivery. I was just calling to get information on what I should do.

Perfectly firm mattress!

I did a lot of research before purchasing this mattress, which needed to have the exact right firmness for my guest bedroom. My previous mattress was too soft. But I also didn't want it to be extra firm for my guests. I went with this based on reviews and the fact that it was considered medium firm, and also has a pillow top. It was a bargain because I got it over the Memorial Day weekend sales. And it has exceeded my expectations for sure! It is the perfect firmness without being hard, and the pillow top adds a little comfort without too much softness. My guests love it! Also the delivery was seamless, they brought it up to my 2nd floor, and the old mattress was picked up by another BBB delivery service the very next day at no charge. It couldn't have been easier! I'm thrilled about this purchase!

Serra Perfect Sleeper Oasis Extra Firm

I’ve only had my mattress for about a month and so far I’m loving it. I don’t like soft mattresses that give and sink in so I got an extra firm. So far it’s perfect. Nice and firm but totally comfortable. I also put a new 6” metal/steel box springs under on a new metal platform frame with metal/steel slates. I’m not a big person and I’ve rotated it and plan to rotate it accordingly to manufacture instructions. I also alternate sleeping sides. I’m totally happy with the mattress and just hope it stays as is and doesn’t break down for several yrs. Time will tell.

Comfortable for most just not me

I only gave it 4 stars because of my discomfort. I think Serta is an excellent mattress company. The reason I know is because at the best Western in Cathedral city California I had the best night sleep I have ever had and it was on a Serta. For two weeks, I made numerous phone calls to best western, the best western I stayed at, and Serta. No one could tell me exactly what the mattress was. The best western I stayed at had a pretty good idea, so I went with what was closest to that and it is in no way the same mattress. I am very disappointed because I wanted so badly to have the same mattress that I had at best western. This is not Serta’s fault. They tried to help me, but they did not have the hotel that I stayed at on their list.

Like a rock

This mattress is like a rock with a pillow thrown on top of it. Although there’s a pillow, you still feel the hardness underneath. FYI, the 120 day trial comes with a $200 fee. $100 for the pick up and $100 for a cleaning and sanitizing to restock. Doesn’t seem like a true trial to me. I still had to pay those fees, although I replaced this mattress with another mattress for mattress. I like the new mattress, But feel like I Was lied to with the trial. Lesson – do not purchase a sale mattress online from mattress firm. On a positive note, the mattress firm sales person when we went in the store was amazing. The delivery people were the best I’ve seen in many years. They do have some things right.

Very good

We ordered this extra-firm mattress about several weeks ago. My wife loves it very much. We tried something similar in a mattress warehouse and decided to go for a very firm one. This one fits our needs and it is impressive given the price. My wife usually does not sleep well and she says this mattress is much better than the previous one. I am a person can sleep anywhere, I can feel it is harder and bigger. I cannot feel any high tech in the ads like (breathable material, memory foam, 3-zone system, etc). Anyway, happy wife, happy life.

Horrible Hard Mattress

I bought this online from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Slept on it 3 nights and experienced excruciating upper back pain. It's labeled as plush but is actually very firm and uncomfortable. Was told I couldn't get a refund or return it since it was opened. I'm not sure how you are supposed to try it without doing so. Waste of hundreds of dollars. Either this mattress is defective (made wrong or improperly labeled), or they are falsely advertising it. Either way, I deserve a full refund. My back may be permanently injured now.

Very Satisfied customers

My wife and I are first time buyers with Mattress Firm. We shopped around several other stores to get an idea what would be the best mattress for our daughter’s room. We went into the store and looked around to get some ideas what was available. The salespeople were really nice and knowledgeable. Afterwards we went back home and looked at their website and were able to narrow it down to a couple that we let our daughter choose from, so we made the purchase. Within 2 days we found the mattress on sale at another competitor for a lesser price so I called Mattress Firm back and they honored the price, so since they did, my wife and I purchased the same exact mattress in a larger size, even though we weren’t ready to buy a mattress, we did because they matched price on our daughter’s and on ours. The two delivery guys that came out, I apologize because I can’t remember their names, but they gave us 5 + star service! Very nice and professional. This is how business is done. The mattress is the best we’ve had yet! It’s very nice to have a great nights sleep.

Like the mattress, not the shopping experience

I like the thickness of this mattress, and the firmness is really good. It's very firm which I like as a stomach sleeper. Price was right too. What I don't like is that I had to pick this mattress out myself to replace the first mattress I had bought in store when a "sleep expert" helped me pick a mattress and I hated it. The exchange process is a bit of a hassle, especially the restocking fee and return fee. You guys told me I'd love the mattress you picked for me and I didn't. Why am I also punished with fees and hassle to exchange it? Also, you only have limited choices in-store and you push those. Why not also let people know they can shop online as well with more choices, and that you aren't limited to the small sampling you have in store?

Very Comfortable Mattress

The mattress was very comfortable however, it was too firm for me. I had originally bought the firm pillow top. I could not lie on my side comfortably to read. So I traded it in for the medium firm pillow top and I am loving it. I actually love being in my bed. I have a sleeping illness and the old mattress would cause me pain if I was asleep too long. I find this one does not and if there is any pain from lying so long it goes away rather quickly. I did buy the mattress with all the extra features. It is wonderful.

Perfect Mattress for me!

After agonizing for months trying to decide what Brand/Type of mattress to buy, I purchased the Serta "Blue Lagoon Nights" medium plush pillow-top. I have back issues along with mild arthritis in my hips and I needed a medium firm pillow-top type of mattress. I was fortunate to have a JC Penny's store nearby and stopped by to physically check out this particular mattress. Not only did I get a great price during Labor Day sales, but it turned out to be the best mattress I've had in 30 years. I have slept comfortably every single night since it was delivered. The White Glove delivery was great and they were nice enough to allow me to get a white cover on the box springs before placing the mattress on top of it. If you have any back or arthritis issues, especially if you're a side sleeper, this is the PERFECT Serta mattress to buy.
