It helped me to extend the life of an older mattress and upgraded it with cushy memory foamI live in the tropics where the nights are humid, so the cooling gel is a huge bonus for comfortable sleep as wellIt fits well on my mattress and has straps at each corner that keep it securedNot too bulky either, and easy to install
