Not great. There is a plastic piece that pushes the “button” once put together to keep the light on. However I had to put some tiny pieces of paper towels in it to keep enough pressure on it to keep the light on.

We yearly change our UV bulb and it helps keep things clear. JUST MAKE SURE YOU ORDER THE RIGHT BULB as they come in 2 different sizes. Don't make the mistake I made and order the wrong one and have to send it back

Disappointed

Although I am dealing with a fairly large pond (2500 Gallons) and the algae bloom was prolific, this UV filter has not made much, if any, difference even while using an anti-algae product in conjunction with the filter. Having had another filter which was very efficient this one is disappointing.
