I was disappointed that the door handle is only on the outside, making it difficult to close the shower door once one is inside the shower. It should have a handle like the one on the outside, especially for a shower door that costs $1000-plus, not including installation. Most glass shower doors have an inside handle, but ours does not. I do like the clear finish, which makes it easier to keep the glass clean.

My unit came shipped in 5 boxes. All little parts were bagged or in small containers. Glass , seals, and trim parts were wrapped in plastic and styrofoam. No damage or scratches. Instructions were quite helpful and install went well. This is a well made solid product. Looks awesome! Not sure I'd recommend 1st timers to install. Must be very accurate with layout and hole locations. Also, glass panels are very heavy. Best to install hinges on wall and check plumb first then attach door to hinges. Did install by myself , would recommend having a helper.

[Rewarded Review] Dreamline Unidoor Review

I think this is a high quality product - materials and finishing. It was delivered to my local Lowes well packaged on a pallet. They include a number of spare parts - always a good feature. I think the door is very attractive; I purchased the model with a side brace for the panel. I included a picture so you can see how it looks. All that said, this is a somewhat complicated installation. You definitely need two people because of the weight of the glass door. If you’re not comfortable with drills, levels, etc, I recommend you have it professionally installed. Also be sure to measure your rough opening accurately. I would purchase this door again.

Looks incredibly and very well made. We had to make a few adjustments to fit our shower (we were between sizes - between 55 and 56;" probably should have sized down but we already had this and wanted to be done). Thought it would take forever to hang but it was ultimately pretty easy. It's not super forgiving so be sure you measure everything precisely. I've included photos that we took during the install process (it looks much better now that the entire shower and all lighting are completed). Great price, great quality. While I'm hoping I never have to replace it, I would definitely buy again.

Exactly as advertised. I have one wall that is 3/4" out of plumb over a 6' length, and the base was 58" exactly. This product fit the bottom perfectly and the side track was able to accommodate the out of plumb wall with no problem. I don't believe it said so, but this unit comes with two glass shelves that were awesome (forgot to put any shelves in while tiling the shower) but also serve to strengthen the stationary glass plate. The stationary plate didn't fall in line with a stud, but with the anchors included and the fact it sits on the curb, no problem. I am an experienced DIY'er, but the unit is easy to install. Definitely a 2 person job, the glass is heavy. I highly recommend it.

Happy with our purchase!

Very happy with our purchase. Easy to install. Great seal, no issues with leaking (a concern when purchasing). Would recommend!

Heavy shower door

This door is HEAVY, and a 2 man install. You must have a stud to bolt into to support the door/glass. Unfortunately, I chose this door last minute and had to cut into my painted drywall to add support._x000D_

Structurally attractive, but very difficult to install

The door was purchased for an update of a bathroom. Home Depot provides no installers for one to call for custom shower doors. Five separate glass and shower specialty stores were contacted and all refused to install the door. Eventually the remodeler installed the door and it took over half a day. The instructions were found to be inadequate. The aluminum screws provided were not strong enough and the slots on the top of one became unusable and it had to be removed and the head twisted completely off one. Eventually other stronger screws were obtained and the project finished. Though the door is attractive once installed, I couldn't recommend it unless one has the access to a custom shower door installer or your local Home Depot has installers that they use. It also may be more suited for a new construction, rather than an update.

Excellent Shower Door

I am a DIY'er and I installed it myself with the help of the manual. Anyone can install this as long as you can pick up the door (it's heavy).
