Didn't work

This leaked the same as what I replaced. I put in a.third party with a flapper that lays flat rather than on an angle which finally works.

Disappointed

After spending several hours online and in stores to get the correct valve to fit my toilet. I ended up calling and talking to a representative I gave him a description, numbers from the toilet including the gpf, and he gave the part number. I then told him that i had seen that number but i didn't think it would be the correct one, he rechecked the number and assured me it was correct. I recieved the product and as i had read in other reviews it was too small. I ended up making my own seal and wider washer to cover the hole in the tank. I am very disappointed in American standard for not carrying the correct part any longer, also I find it ridiculous that with even calling American standard directly and questioning the information they provided me with i still recieved the wrong part. Since my experience I have seen several reviews stating the same problem. I thought your product was better than this.

The seal on my old flapper valve disintegrated and I couldn’t find the same replacement part at my local store. Ordering online through American Standard was easy and I replaced the flapper valve with the instructions they provided which made the whole process a snap. Purchased at a great price too.
