[Rewarded Review] 60W 12V Universal LED transformer
This power supply/dimmer works great. I connected it to a dimmer switch on the wall to a controlled outlet and plugged in the power supply with the included cord. It works with almost every dimmer switch but please read the instructions that come with it. I added several 12V white LED strips to it and easily control my bookcase lighting. It was easy to wire up and worked great but be careful of the polarity of your LED strip. The mounting ‘ears’ on the sides made it easy to put it under one of the shelves and everything worked great. I like this very much and recommend it.

This Armacost 24W 12V dimmable LED transformer is a perfect match for Armacost LED strip lighting. It converts household 110V AC current to 12V DC currrent. It is rated to supply up to 24W DC. Its low profile design means it is easily hidden beneath cabinets for task lighting, and it comes with a 110V plug so it can be plugged into a dimmed outlet. Each end of the power supply can be hardwired (110V AC input & 12V DC output). Instructions for wiring are included (English/Spanish)
[Rewarded Review] Great 110 to 12-volt LED transformer
The use case on this is amazing. I love how you can take a 110 switch and turn it into a 12-volt LED controller. There is no noise coming from this when plugged in. It can be used in dry or damp locations so adding it to a bathroom would work great. I did get tricked with the exposed screws on the top. It looks like that is where you screw in your LEDs but it's not, LOL! You take the screws and cover off to reveal the actual terminals.
It's inexpensive and performs as expected. A quality product
[Rewarded Review] Power Supply - 24-watt 12-volt Transformer
This transformer by Armacost is a 24-watt 12-volt power supply. I am using it with LED strip lights. It works very well. It comes with a plug-in power cord, but can easily be used in hard wired situation. The unit can be mounted using the two tabs on opposite corners. The wire connections are under removable covers which provide some strain relief when secured. The wire connections are screw down which securely hold the wires. This transformer/power supply works very well for my project.
[Rewarded Review] Exactly as expected
I made a television backlight from this Armacost 24 W, 12V Universal Dimming LED Transformer and a 40 inch strip of Armacost soft white LEDs left over from a previous large project. The LEDs, strip connector, and 12V wiring shown in the photos are not included. A 5 ft two-prong power cord is included. I used this power cord, but the transformer can also be hard wired if desired. Although I did not use a dimmer for this small project, the transformer is compatible with appropriate 120V or 12V dimmers per the instructions. The instructions are very professional, detailed, and in English and Spanish. This transformer met all expectations and there were no problems observed in my project.

Armacost 60-Watt 12-Volt Universal Plus Dimming LED Transformer. Comes well packed and easy to install with minimal tools. I installed on my entire kitchen with multiple locations of LEDs and worked perfect with the current watts that I have. This is indoor use and has dimming capabilities. Has the AC cord attached to it for easy use. Installs very fast and ready to go.

When the driver for my under-cabinet LED strip went out, I replaced it with the less expensive Armacost power supply. It has outlasted the costly commercial version. This universal dimmable power supply differs in color, it comes in black were the non-dimmable is in white, but otherwise it has the same great features. This will work with CL and ELV dimmers and is suitable for damp locations. Besides the versatility of it working with a dimmer, it can be configured as a direct wired connection or as a plug-in with the included polarized plug. Simply remove the end caps with a Phillips #2 to make your desired connections. The 120v side needs power and a neutral with no provision for a ground wire. The 12-volt output is marked to help make the necessary polarity connection. The unit can be attached to a surface via two cut outs for fasteners which are not included. For those who hate annoying LED indicator lamps none are provided to indicate the unit is energized. The unit is easy to install with a well written instruction sheet and meets UL standard.

I've had good luck with Armacost Lighting equipment, save for a single connector. The price is a bit more than other brands, but so far, so good.

Having used Armacost transformers in the past, I knew the quality of these transformers. We used this transformer to light up a multicolored light strip for the holiday season. This transformer had a 72” cord that allowed me to mount it in a weatherproof location and still reach the power source. With 45 watts, this transformer should provide all the power you need for several LED light strips.

This is a very functional 24-watt 12 volt universal (plus dimmable) LED transformer. I was needing some under cabinet lighting in my work shop. I already had some linkable LED lights but was needing a transformer to power the lights. This universe transformer from Armacost worked perfectly. It was easy to wire the lights to one end of the transformer and it is clearly labeled for positive and negative. The transformer can be used with the supplied electrical plug to hardwired by removing plug in wiring. This was very easy to install and now I have additional lighting under my cabinets in the work shop.

I requested this Armacost Lighting 24-Watt 12-Volt Universal Plus Dimming LED Transformer from the Home Depot Seeds reviewer program November campaign to install LED lighting under our kitchen cabinets since the wife has been begging me to do that for ages. Even without instructions, the manufacturer made this product easy to install and use. Really the only reason it doesn't get five stars is the lack of a power switch on the transformer and restrictive method for securing it out of sight to the underside of the cabinets. A small extension of the plastic casing to support a screw to hold it. That would have been an extra star. Food for thought.
Transformer madness
It seems as though there is more and more a need for transformers. With the increase of led lighting there is a need for more transformers. This transformer is dimmable which can be a very nice feature for any lighting. The transformer has removable protective coverings over contactors and is clearly marked for connecting the input and low voltage output which is important to know as to not blow out the transformer. There are install spots on the body for easily securing the transformer to a surface. This transformer makes it easy to attach your low voltage lighting to a dimmer switch.

This led transformer is easy to use. unscrew a plate held with 2 screws and tighten the LED tape into the connector and voila! The Armacost device comes with a decent length wall plug but can be adapted to hard wire with - you guessed it - 2 screws and tighten! One caution LED tape comes in 12v or 24v and the tape and transformer volts have to match.

The power supply is fully enclosed for safety. The case has to feet for mounting with screws. Instructions recommend full contact with the mounting surface to help dissipate the heat. It comes with a cord with 2 prong plug. The cord can be removed for hardwiring by opening the end cap. The output measures 12.2V with no load. Good instructions for wiring and calculating for max load.

Use with a switchable outlet and a color control system and you have reliable power supply that will deliver for any custom LED install.
