Stainless steel chipped after 1 month light use

The installation of this niche was straight forward. It looks great. The finish is nearly mirror like.

Very disappointed. None of the contractors who bid on our reno would agree to install this shelf. They all said these niches eventually leak behind the shower walls and cause black mold and disturb the integrity of the wall around it. Beautiful product, but we are not willing to risk having to rip it out and destroy the expensive acrylic shower wall and backing if it does end up leaking. Too late to return so going in the donate pile.

I was more than impressed on the polish on the stainless, looks way more expensive then the cost on the item. Will be adding more of these to future shower projects
