Very disappointed with this item. While the faucet looks fantastic and has a substantial feel that suggests a quality built item, the actual function left much to be desired. I have installed bathroom faucets numerous times in D-I-Y remodels in my last two homes without any problems like this one has given me. I had always gotten big-box store off-the-shelf, affordable faucets, this time I was putting a lot of effort into a hall bath remodel that guests use, I was willing to hunt a little harder and spend a little more money for something that would help create the feel/aesthetic I was going for. When I saw this one, it seemed the ideal fit for me, I loved the shape of the spout and the old-fashioned cross handles. I have ordered many items from Wayfair over the last 8 or 10 years, I have never had problems with the quality of items, even though they are usually great bargain prices, I didn't think this purchase would be a risk, but it turned out to be a dud. The faucet required more assembly than your typical home improvement store variety and the included directions were TERRIBLE. I suspect that an experienced plumber would have found it intuitive and may have even been able to get this faucet installed so that it didn't leak and the handles functioned properly. I, however, was unable to figure out what adjustment was needed to the valves, or how I may have assembled it incorrectly to cause the problems. The faucet leaked slightly from one handle at first, I adjusted it as best I could and it stopped leaking...for about a week, then it was leaking more water than before and now the faucet handle/valve didn't seem to be connecting correctly, the handle would continue to turn, never able to achieve a closed/stopped position. I couldn't fix it on my own by taking it apart and re-assembling it with the directions again. In fact, about two weeks after I put it back in, the other handle started leaking as well. I was discouraged enough that I don't want to bother with it anymore, not even to call a plumber to come and repair/reinstall it, I felt like I would be better cutting off my losses. I decided to stick with what I know and ordered a replacement faucet from the old big-box store that looks very similar, except with lever handles. The price of the replacement is less than half what I spent on this one and if I have problems with it, I know I can easily return it to my local brick-and-mortar store. So in the end, there certainly is the possibility of "user error" that you may not encounter with this faucet but I felt the maker used a great design and nice casting to hide a dirty secret; poor quality valves. I wouldn't recommend this product.
So gorgeous. Feels very quality and heavy.
faucet is beautiful and works great!
