weak closing power for heavy kitchen cabinet doors

The product overall quality was good and the finish was perfect. But, the spring closing power was weaker than expected. I was changing out hinges on fairly heavy solid oak kitchen cabinet doors.

Great find

It took a while to find this particular hinge (with just one screw to attach hinge to cabinet frame instead of 2) and was happy when I finally found them here. Since I was replacing 20 year old hardware, it was a relief not to have to drill new holes. The price was very reasonable and shipping was quick. They look and work great.

Very nice and good price. Arrived in 2 days. Love how fast Wayfair is. Hinges were for replacing old brass ones. I also purchased these handles from Wayfair too. They look great together and finished off these Amish made cottage cabinets. Sturdy satin nickel hinges.

Could not use because inside the hinge was a very small piece that was like a hook for the cabinet door but it made it not fit on my cabinets

They look nice and great quality. However if you are looking for self closing or soft closure hinges .... well these are not the ones you want to buy. They are not at all either one.

These hinges look nice and work well now that we modified them. What is not clear in the pictures or the specs is that the side that attaches to the door frame is not flat. They won't work if your door frames are too thick. We had to take them all out to the shop and hammer them flat. Also, they are self close but not soft close. The bumper pads that came with them were too thin so we went out and bought better quality.

Not the biggest fan of these. They have an odd lip on the edge so we are having to sand down the corners of the wood we are fastening to and a couple are slightly bent. We are going to make due but would not give 5 stars for those reasons. Otherwise ok hinges

Well, I haven't installed them yet (I just received them), but they are beautiful and will match perfectly with the doorknobs that I already have. The price was better than the big box stores and they came very timely.

This was the only place o could find this type of hinge-and I looked everywhere! They were exactly what I needed!

Worked great as replacement hinges for old kitchen cabinets that we repurposed. They are not soft close but knew that before purchasing.

We had painted our old, dated cabinets and needed to update the hardware. We chose brushed nickel. It was difficult to find the exact sized replacement hinges. Didnt want to have to fill in old hinge holes. Wayfair did it again! They were an exact match and came in several finishes, including brushed nickel. Project done!

We updated our kitchen cabinets and these look good with the rest of the new hardware. I had to order extra because several were broken.

How to fix closing problem

I also had a problem with the cabinet doors not closing fully with these hinges. The problem is the hinges are made to precisely a 90 degree closing angle. So if your cabinets are not perfect, the doors don't fully close. The solution is to put a washer between the hinge and the door to increase the effective angle. Then they work perfectly. There is another problem that comes up after using them for 6+ months, they start to chatter / stick. Some lubricant on the plastic self closing insert solves that problem. We really like these hinges because they are the closest to a true satin nickel finish. With some TLC and the mods mentioned, they work perfectly. Hickory should slightly modify the design to have a 100 degree closing angle. This would resolve most of the complaints.

I ordered about 28 pairs of these hinges and out of the packaging about 4 broke before installing. Now having the remaining installed for about a month, another 4 hinge pins have fallen out. Overall I’m quite disappointed with the quality of these hinges.

These are awesome! I could not find the right size at my local hardware stores to replace them on my 30 year old cabinets. Thank you Wayfair
