Cage size

Is this cage suitable for a cockatiel and parakeet? My husband died 3 months ago and these were his birds but they stay in one cage but needs to be bigger. They do stay in a vision cage which I love. I’m new at being responsible of these birds. I don’t know much so need help. Thanks

I’ve owned several cages over the years and keep coming back to this one for small to medium size birds. It’s very well thought out, my favorite features are the perches which can be easily repositioned from outside the cage, the feeding bowls have a separate access door along with a “poop guard” roof, 4 large access doors, and deep acrylic base to keep the mess in. The only thing I would have preferred would be a slide out tray for cleaning versus having to the the top off, it can sometimes be difficult to handle the entire cage top. Overall though one of the best designed cages out there!

Finally - seeds stay inside the cage

I bought this cage for seed control. This design keeps them inside! I have canaries and these cute little songbirds are seed slingers. Before, seeds were slung about 6 ft from the cage - every day - with a seed net and cage seed skirt, now I don’t see any on the floor. I ordered another one - gender separation. Side note, canaries are prolific.

Already have one of these, so I knew it was gonna be a great product! And it is! Perfect size for my cockatiel. It was shipped all the way from the UK very quickly. I got it in a matter of like four days. I love it!

Awful Cage

We have had this bird cage for years. We had 2 Cockatiel’s and 2 parakeets. It says it suitable for these types of birds but clearly isn’t. Our two parakeets were able to go in and out of the wire and unfortunately got stuck and it snapped their necks. DO NOT BUY THIS CAGE. It killed two of our beloved creatures. They were some of the kindest and cutest birds but just because of a dumb cage they have sadly left the nest. :( :( :(

The only type of cage I use for my parakeet

I have had 2 previous smaller versions of the vision cages for my parakeet and have made the final size upgrade to this largest version. I figured my parakeet would appreciate and use all the extra space and I was right! He has more room for more toys and perches to play on. Easy to clean and the food cup being in the base really keeps most of the mess in. I always add a wooden ladder down to the bottom of the cage and he always uses it to get up and down from the bottom when he eats and drinks. Bought a 37 gallon aquarium stand and it's a perfect fit for this cage to sit on top of.

Great but hard to assemble

Bought this in 2021for my 4 budgies, it arrived broken, I called and the item was replaced. This cage was hard to built on my own, i asked 4 help, I recommended 2 people. Well overall this cage is great, a lot less mess than with other cages. Last thing is that towards the end of 2022 my female birds learn to squish themselves out. This is probably my fault for when I had time I'd let them out for 2hrs to fly around the house and now its rarely that I let them out.

Great birdcage but arrived with a part broken

I really like this birdcage, but the seed guard arrived with a small broken part and when I asked Chewy about it they couldn't help me and didn't give me who to contact to help. I'm disappointed in Chewy.

Great cage, like the design, nightmare to put together, instructions could be better, this cage would only suit a single small bird as it's quite narrow in size, if it was a lot wider then it would definitely be a 5 star rating.

Fantastic Enginering

Folks either seem to love or hate these Vision cages. I'm firmly in the Love Camp. It is not difficult to put together, but the directions do leave some important bits of info out, so I can see how it could be frustrating. However, these are very well designed cages. They are easy to clean (yes, you have to lift the entire top off the base!) but more importantly, it keeps the mess inside the cage, not on the floor. My cockatiel is very happy with this cage! His dexterity has improved in the few months that we've had him because he climbs the horizontal bars with ease now and is generally kept busy exploring inside this cage.
