Great Cage for Senegals

I bought this cage for two Senegal parrots who love to sit up high in my office window and watch the world below. The cage is spacious, easy to clean and they like having the space. This is my second Vision cage and they're well made and easy to maintain.

Cute bird condo!!!

My lovebird is still exploring the cage but I found he doesn’t like the bottom right now so I got him food bowls for the top of this cage. Sturdy. Spacious. I love it !!

Good bird cage; it's spacious enough for one bird of designated size. This is the only cage I could find that is zinc-free. For safety/sanitary reasons, use separate stainless steel food bowls and safe wooden perches.

Beautiful and very large

Perfect large cage for a few parakeets or even one/two cockatiels. Not difficult to assemble (there is a video on YouTube if you get stuck)- took me about 30 minutes. Great sale price from Chewy!

Keeps the seeds mess inside the cage

Love the cage and quick delivery. One thing wrong: the box wasn't sealed properly at the top. Fortunately nothing was missing. I appreciate less cardboard but some tape would have helped.

I'm a first-time bird owner. I researched so much. This cage has been great for my budgie and I'm about to add another budgie. I've added purchase on the top and purchase on the side. She uses all levels in the cage. I'm quite happy with it. And, although I have to pick up the cage to clean it, It's an easy clean. The cage is light enough to pick up and easy to put back back together.

Good cage

A removable cage bottom would make cleaning easier. Had to change out the perches, the ones supplied were insufficient for the birds. The dishes that came with the cage are meant to be placed on the floor of cage. They have no covers so the food is open to contamination

Great cage. I recently inherited two canaries and I felt their cage was too small so brought this one. They have loads more space and the difference with mess around the cage is amazing! Their is barely any mess now.

My birds love this mansion. If your birds don't want to go to the bottom of the cage (where the food cups will be), buy them a little bird ladder for $6 so they can walk down instead of having to jump. My birds didn't mind but they love the ladder

Ruby’s Chalet

Love the extra space Ruby has now versus her old cage. She adjusted quickly once her disco ball, mirror and treats were added. Only issue was that the box it was shipped wasn’t secured. It was just the box the cage is sold in. All pieces were present. I opted to not build it with the second level. Also, have your readers on to figure out the assembly. The piece are assigned a letter of the alphabet but they are not referenced in the instructions.

Not for finches or canaries, and very expensive for the suitability and quality.

I received this cage with a finch housed in it from someone who needed to rehome the bird due to allergies. This might possibly be OK for a small climbing hookbill like a parakeet especially if the bird is tame. Not safe for finches or other small flying birds. I had to use wire ties to secure the sides together at regular intervals because the sides have big gaps on all vertical joins that are plenty wide enough for finches to slip through. Very flimsy and does not hold together in a stable manner when moving. Not safe to clean either, because you have to take the entire bottom off, causing the birds to panic, and all a frightened bird has to do to accidentally escape is flutter to the bottom during cleaning and it's gone. So be sure to clean it in a small room like a bathroom where you will be able to catch the escapees. And of course that is going to frighten and stress them a lot more. This difficulty is also going to discourage regular cleaning. For flying birds the vertical configuration does not allow room for natural horizontal flight for good exercise. I have raised finches, canaries, and softbills for over 50 years and do not recommend this cage for small passerines. Extremely expensive and very poorly built; designed to catch the eye of the human purchaser rather than meet the needs of the bird.

A little complicated to setup

Lots of small pieces tough for people with big hands. All around a great product otherwise setup took about 30 mins.

Excellent cage

Vision cages are all great and my birds love them, I have bought one in almost every size now for my two budgies. Since my last vision cage purchase they have made some great improvements/upgrades to the attachments for ease of putting together which was nice, made putting it together super easy.

Clean, loved by the birds and myself

I originally considered this cage before I got birds (2 budgies) but I was swayed by the research that birds prefer horizontal space. I ended up with a wide flight cage that was not very tall. During the summer we would move the cage to the screened in porch and there was always a mess that would fall out of the bottom (despite a cage skirt). The birds always hung out in one corner and the cage had a grate on the bottom that was so hard to clean. I finally upgraded to the tall vision cage and I love it! At first the birds hung out at the top and their first journey down was hilarious because they were so timid, but they have acclimated well. Now after three weeks, the birds DO use every level. No issues with the food on the bottom. I’m not using the bottom grate and can easily change the paper towels or paper on the bottom. Cage is sturdy. Doors are nice to open in both directions. I can move the cage around the house without a mess. There is just so much less mess and I find it easier to clean than a slide out bottom. So far I just take the bottom paper out of the sides and even used a vacuum with the wand attachment to get more out the other day without having to unsnap it. Birds seems happy, they love the horizontal bars for climbing up and down. They also seem to enjoy the perches that came with it.

This is the second cage from this range that I have purchased now. I have the MO2 Med and this taller version. They are excellent cages for Parrotlet's.

Owned since 2018

We have had this cage for about four years, and it has been home for four to six budgies at a time. There are a lot of pieces to it, but it goes together quickly. The cage is excellent. We bought the smaller version to take the birds to the vet (it travels well) and to use as a quarantine home. We like that the doors fold in or out. When folded in, they sit horizontal, and we call it the "front porch" for the birds. They like to hang out there. The cleaning is easy. The raised acrylic sides on the base contain a lot of mess. We have a water fountain and a small playset on the top. The food bowl location stinks. Even with the covers, they are soiled. I wish they would change that design so they were not on the floor. Also, the latches that hold the base and top together are flimsy - they broke very early on. All that aside, I will be buying a new one when what we have wears out. It is a nice bright modern look and is easy to care for.
