Beautiful, grand and exquisite!

It’s very beautiful and very exquisite. It’s very GRAND. I was going to give five stars but, our place has high wind almost all the times. The weave cloth is always pulled up and down, until we solved the problem, by adding strips of wood to secure the weave cover. I definitely recommend this pergola, any New England arbour products are top notch.

New England Arbors Pergola

I purchased this Pergola through Home Depot in 2012 & it still looks as good as the day we put it up! Even the canopy which is only guaranteed for 2 years still looks pretty good (we do store it in the winter). Like someone else mentioned in their review the people at New England Arbors couldn't have been nicer followed up with us to make sure everything arrived intact and to ask if we had any questions. We contacted them recently because we wanted two more rafters to attach to the side of the pergola so we could attach sun-blocking roller shades to sides. Their customer service rep, John was so helpful making sure we received just the right parts for our project. If I'm ever in the market for another pergola New England Arbors is the only manufacturer I would consider.

Super easy to assemble. My wife and I put this together in an afternoon and have been enjoying it ever since. Really dresses up our back patio. We have received tons of compliments on it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The pergola looks great, but for it to be used on the deck, we had to be reinforced with posts placed inside the legs so it would not wobble or fly away. Next time it will be wood. No more vinyl

I would not buy this again. Too expensive, too many issues.

The Malibu is an attractive addition to our backyard. The canopy provides great shade. The Malibu was fairly easy to assemble (with two people) AFTER the posts were attached to a concrete base - I would recommend to use something sturdier (available at HD) than the NE bolt-down bracket system.

Very disappointing. The structure is very flimsy. It was very difficult to install and the directions were not completely helpful. We installed the pergola last weekend, and woke this morning to find it had collapsed. The unit fell into our garage resulting in a broken window. Not recommended.

End product is beautiful

Love the pergola but had to pay a contractor to put it together. The instructions are atrocious and it has missing parts. I do have to say NE Arbors was great about sending out the parts. It looks beautiful now that it is finished but it took awhile to get there. The instructions need ALOT of improvement!

This pergola is pretty and the warranty would imply that the vinyl material would last a long time, however, the unit lacks structural integrity. Each vinyl column comes in two pieces that are glued and minimally screwed together when placed over a 4 X 4 that is optimally buried into the ground. The main beams and rafters are made of the same flexible vinyl which is in part supported by internal metal pieces that do not run their entire lengths. The internally hollow rafters and main beams both fit through similarly unsupported hollow columns which results in total flex. The U brackets that screw into hollow vinyl with 5/8" screws on top of the main beams to support the crossing rafters are made of thin flimsy vinyl. In an effort to make this work and make my wife happy, I installed 48 hurricane clips with over 300 screws - essentially creating an exoskeleton for stiffness. It helped, but its still fragile and any South Florida tropical storm will assuredly rip the screws from the hollow vinyl - a total wasted effort. Home Depot has stated that they will accept the return and I'll be making those arrangements. I would not recommend this product under any circumstance.

The shade is the last thing you put on and the directions for the New England Malibu. Had to totally take apart and re-assemble. The shade was from Eden not Hayneedle.

Looks great and makes my patio looks awesome. Installation was definitely for two or more people but the instructions were easy to use.

Pergola took me a day to install. Directions could have been better. And I needed about 4 tubes of vinyl weld not the one tube that comes with it. I installed on a concreate patio pad but probably would not install into a wood deck although it would probably be fine as long as canvas was removed before wind storm. All in all I am happy so far. I put a dap of silicone over each installed screw to try and keep from getting rust stains over time.

I do not recommend this product for a deck. I hired a contractor to assist and it two days because the instructions were so bad. It is very flimsy in the wind without the canopy.

We were very pleased with the quality of the Malibu Pergola.

We love the styling and it is perfect for shading our patio. The shade cover is not the color shown. Be prepared for that.

Beautiful. Lower mark for receiving boxes that were dented and in one case open. One piece was broken and had to be sent back as did the pink- instead of beige shade that was shown unadvertised photo's. Tea event offered in Grey. Went directly to New England Arbor's and Pergola's customer service. They quickly corrected every issue and we were very pleased with them and their product. Top quality!

This pergola is complete garbage. We had it up for less than 6 months before it came crashing down and smashed into a million pieces on our back deck. It was mounted with the mounting brackets the company sold me on, and there was just too much flex in it. the base ripped out of the deck and the entire piece is beyond any repair. Would NEVER purchase this product again.
